India's Planned Procurement of US 127mm Mk 45 Mod 4 Naval Artillery
On November 19, 2019, the US Department of Defense Agency for Defense Cooperation (DSCA) sent a notification to the U.S. Congress of the planned upcoming sale of India through the American program of intergovernmental foreign military sales (FMS) of 13 naval universal artillery installations Mk 45 Mod 4 caliber 127 mm / 62. This shipment is approved by the US Department of State. The total cost of the proposed delivery will be $ 1.021 billion, including training and technical support packages. American 127-mm / 62 naval universal artillery mount BAE Systems Mk 45 Mod 4 on the ship of the U.S. Navy (s) BAE Systems
According to the notice, the delivery will also include 3,500 D349 shells of 127 mm caliber.
Most likely, the 127 mm / 62 Mk 45 Mod 4 artillery will be installed on the Indian frigates of Project 17A (type Nilgirn, seven units) and destroyers of Project 15B (type Visakhapatnam, four units) launched by the construction of the Indian frigates .

so a single gun along with it's shells & with it's "training & technical support" will cost like 76$ million! a serious question, is that price normal? or is India being scammed by the US?
