India paying price for Modi’s myopic China strategy

.
Hundreds of Indian soldiers silently crossed the LAC and approached Chinese camp under the cover of night darkness. You don't need a wild imagination to figure out what had just happened.
The "spiked clubs" you saw is a another Indians' propaganda trick. Indians didn't capture any Chinese weapon. So there is no actual Chinese weapon could be seen by Indian media. The spiked clubs look very heavy and not suitable for hand hold.
So what they are? They are probably the mesh wire piles at China-Indian border.

I don’t believe those were the weapons used but the accounts I’ve heard were that the Chinese were armed with spiked clubs which violated the regulations. Has China denied it? I haven’t seen them deny it. China barely communicates with the outside world and that just increases the suspicion.

Indians made thousands of lies about China every day. China is used to keeping silent for the noise.

This is a typical attitude of China and it’s a major problem. So what weapons were used? You never answered the question.

I think both sides used sticks and stones. 3 Indians were directly killed and 2 seriously injured Chinese died several days ago.

While it is true that Modi has been opportunistic in his dealings with China. China's actions, especially leading to the killing of Indian soldiers, have been pretty stupid as well. I don't think China's leaders are anywhere as smart as they think they are. They don't have a good grasp of understanding other societies. They might've thought they were showing Modi a strong face, instead they've destroyed any prospects of workable Sino-Indian ties for at least 20 years.

Obviously the Trump administration has been aggressively pushing a containment of China and other countries, like India, have been persuaded to go along with some of his policies. But China's own reactions are solidifying these commitments that may not have been set in stone before, thus creating even more enemies for itself.

You have a point here.
PM Narendra Modi is just a politician.Nothing more nothing else .
His tenure is only for 5 years.
After that if he can honour his words .
We will elect him or we will kick out him.
He dont have anything to lose.
If he failed in his responsibilities we find some others .
But touching our Army which is an apolitical organisation was the gravest mistake Chinese ever did .
Before even if there was land poaching we only considers that as usual tantrums with usual rivals which could solve through the negotiation.

You just look at the Pakistan.
Before they had West and East Pakistan. From 48 they attacked our people , soldiers killed them.
Now look at the 2020 .Pakistanis are saying Indians hating them too much even celebrating their death in social media( which is too far if you ask me)
All politicians and medias inject the hate to our people for several decades .

For us ,our soldiers and our nation is emotion.
Its our culture that goes bacj to thousands of years .
All those development happened in China .Govt took initiative and people followed them

In India it is the people that too initiative .Modi is noone but a Parlimentarian that represents us
This time will also passbut you will see in future

.
Do you? From what I understand, cold sharp objects were agreed upon by both sides for decades not to be used in these border conflicts. But the Chinese side used spiked clubs and that was the main reason why there were many casualties.
2 Chinese martyrs were killed by dagger.
So when you think China is doing something stupid, we must understand the ground reality. Both side used cold sharp objects. There is no way China will respond with fists.

India BJP/RSS policy and ideology is crystal clear now. Modi broke the Wuhan/Mamallapuram consensus, and China has lost trust on Modi/BJP.

The QUAD is establishing. China has used all the diplomacy tools, such as AIIB, BRICS Bank, SCO. China's intention is very clear, invite both Pakistan and India to Russia/China multipolar world order.

India failed to deliver. So the consequence is unavoidable.

China initially understood the incident as a domestic political issue in India. However, after a succession of later events – policy changes on the issue of Taiwan, on tightening China’s investment in India, restructuring of the World Health Organization, the Covid-19 probe, the Quad, and the defense deal with Australia – Beijing’s suspicions intensified.

Chinese strategists think that Modi has changed his mind on his agreement on “building an open, multipolar, pluralistic, and participatory global economic order,” and that he has abandoned the partnership with Beijing and wants to deter its increased footprint in its own back yard and the Indo-Pacific rim at the behest of the US.

Lol look at the Indian issuing threats. Reality check, no one is scared of your threats, least of all China

. .
If that's how you want to see it. China could've stood firm against Modi without escalating the conflict violently. India is not the country being contained by the world's strongest superpower, China does not need more enemies. Sure, Modi is being opportunistic, but nothing that China can't rebuff. By escalating the conflict into violence, China is entrenching hostilities that will remain far beyond Modi and destroying the viability of Chinese brands in the Indian market. It's like killing a fly with a hammer.
I don't see how China escalated the situation "violently" considering that it was the Indians who first beat up that PLA reconnaissance officer back in May. And on June 15, it was the Indians who tried to forcibly remove the PLA positions by clearing the tents and lighting fire.

If it is the case that the Indians used daggers and claimed Chinese lives, why was China completely silent on this? Why would they just sit there and let India claim that they were bare handed while the Chinese broke mutually agreed regulations and brought sharp weapons to the fight, which caused the first deaths between the two countries in 40 years?

Do you have confirmed news that China suffered deaths and those deaths were from dagger wounds? Or is this just internet speculation?

Is China just being quiet because you think it is being stoic? Or is it being quiet because the Chinese authorities knew that their soldiers broke convention and this led to the escalation in violence? Or did China actually suffer deaths and India actually did bring sharp weapons to the fight and China is just being quiet because it is autistic and socially retarded as usual?

There is a difference between fist fights and bringing sharp weapons to a fight when mutually agreed upon conventions banned them in combat between the two forces, which is the reason why there has been no deaths in four decades.

Basically with the killing of the Indian soldiers, China has crossed a red line which has turned this from a political situation into an intensely personal ordeal which is creating extreme hostility from a country of 1.4 billion to its West, at the same time as China is being contained on its East and Southeast. Are Chinese leaders just emotionally retarded or they just love having enemies?

You are quit right when you observe American affairs.
But due to your life experience mostly in US, your observation and mentality distance yourself to China.

It's mature diplomacy. The incident was not planned. India and China had made agreement on commander level to disengage. But India broke their commitment and tried to sneak up on China.

Now soldiers were killed, most death was because of India lack of medical treatment in time. Those Indian soldiers were left in the cold water for a whole night. So stupid and coward.

But what China need is substantive interest and diplomacy. You don't want to humiliate your counter part because you can NOT eliminate them by the end of day. China keep silence, so that India side can find excuse and solution for themselves.

China is actually not practicing effective diplomacy. Its global image is atrocious. Sure, it is misrepresented but China's actions often exacerbate the problem.

Effective diplomacy involves effective communication and "framing" of the situation to the public. China is absolutely incompetent when it comes to this. If what you were saying is the case, China could've easily issued a statement saying that it regrets that deaths and casualties were suffered by both sides. That the conflict was not planned and it had transpired because India had transgressed on its LAC. Instead just staying silent makes you appear guilty.

I see the same type of mentality among many Chinese fobs and immigrants. They despise having to explain themselves, reveal information and communicate with other people. Sometimes they are unfairly treated but they stay quiet just because they despise having to communicate with others. It is a form of social retardation and autism that really hurts you. Although at the same time, many of these Chinese fobs also do things illegally so they in fact do have something to hide. So as you can see, by staying quiet only proves your guilt.

Yep, you're right, I did grow up in the US and that gives me another perspective. It gives me a perspective that is impossible for Chinese people in China to understand, how deep social autism, the inability to communicate, the absolute lack of care for image building, ends up damaging your interests severely. American society is a master at image crafting and this is why the American media has been very successful at making the world over hate China. Of course, China often shoots itself in the foot and their socially retarded and autistic citizens are their worst ambassadors. Literally most non-Chinese who come across large numbers of Mainland citizens come to despise them because they are so unlikeable and have terrible social skills. So it's no wonder that the Chinese government is a reflection of the culture of their own citizens.

You care too much on image. You think the world run on image? No

The US can run over many countries, destroy them, hang their leaders, bomb the citizens, bully everyone, but only Russia, China and Iran fight back. Why is that?

US image is not good at all, but most countries keep quiet. Why is that?

India on the other hand, think US is a threat since 1948. Don't forget Diego Garcia. Don't forget what US did to India in 1971, threaten India to back out from East Pakistan.

Why India is moving towards US, because of Hollywood?

India choose Pakistan and China as enemy, so India have to find so called "Friends" elsewhere. It's India herself limited their own options.

China was a poor country not long ago. There is no good image to boast. Poverty itself is guilty on international stage. While US is super power since WW2. Building image need money and time.

I will stop here. You are too idealistic and you should read some Chinese, learn our own history and philosophy.

Your understanding on China diplomacy is a bit far from essence.

The US can do what it wants because it is the global hegemon. It also uses its media and image crafting to negate the negative effects of its foreign policy to influence global culture. By doing so, it maximizes its power potential.

Image crafting is important. China's interests are being hurt because of its poor image. Those are real world consequences to having a negative image. You spent all this time responding yet you never even answered my questions about the details of the conflict. Did China break conventions re sharp objects, did China actually confirm deaths and casualties?
