NEW DEHLI: India has become more extremist under the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the same ‘anti-Pakistan, anti-Muslim’ tactic is being applied to win the next polls due later this year.

Today, a 30-year-old woman was arrested from New Dehli’s ‘India Gate’ when she rose ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan, India media reported.

Sultana Khan, in her mid-thirties, was picked up by New Delhi police for raising anti-India slogans.

At about 8 am, she was spotted by the security guards throwing a slipper at the soldiers' memorial. When the guards alerted the police, she raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan in presence of security personnel.

The police claim that she seemed to be mentally unstable and was sent for medical examination.

That's a nice way to get arrested. Do not vandalize amar jawan jyoti.

World Largest Hypocrisy?
Try throwing slippers at any armed forces memorial (if any) in your country. And raise the slogan Hindustan zindabad. Add to that, the person doing that is a Hindu.:)

As per bhartis, Pakistan is not democracy, so why comparing? But this incident proves bhart is hypocrisy(as explained by Pakistani minister) and not democracy.

How its even hypocritic. Try throwing a slipper in a war memorial place or 9/11 memorial place in US and cry Queda Zindabad. Let me know if you will be ever arrested.

It would be fine to shout slogans for Pakistan where it is due...For example, spread positivity about Pakistan by appriciating their art, movies, food, designer dresses, Cricket, hockey and Squash players for which Pakistan is famous for..
But if any India is trying to shout Pakistan Zindabad against their vested intrest to undermine the respect for being Indian, everyone should be harsly prosecuted.....

Islamic republic has no right to say anything about any democratic country...
Try to implement it first then say anything

Throwing slippers at Amar Jawan monument is what will get her charged.
Well deserved jail time.
Good on the Pakistani media to give it a ‘democratic’ spin. Clowns.

No freedom of expression in India.

This is not a democracy.
How is it not democracy? Throwing slippers at a monument dedicated to those who laid down their lives is pretty hideous. Kindly control your hysteria.

NEW DELHI:

A woman from Hyderabad sneaked into a high-security area during the Republic Day rehearsal at India Gate on Sunday and alleged
ly shouted ''Pakistan Zindabad'', police said.

Security personnel on the duty at the India Gate stopped the woman from entering the Amar Jawan Jyoti. She also pushed away the soldiers who were on duty and created chaos. Finally, woman constables took her to Parliament Street police station, a senior police officer said.

Investigation revealed the woman had left her native place to visit a relative in Mumbai but somehow ended up in Delhi. Hyderabad police were contacted and Delhi police learnt that two days ago, a missing complaint was filed in Nizamabad after the woman left home.

During medical examination, doctors informed police the woman is mentally unstable. Other security agencies also verified the details before she was sent to women shelter home, the officer added.

I have seen many Indians lecture us that Pak isn't a democracy. It is controlled by the military, where ppl's rights are violated and free speech doesn't exist...all the while proclaiming India to be the biggest democracy, which is a haven for minorities and protects the rights of its ppl...etc.

Then I hear the news of apples/balloons/pigeons/camels taken into custody just bcuz it had Urdu written on it(which is one of the official languages of India btw). Anyone who even dares to question the rising hindutva fascism causing things like beef lynchings is attacked on social media and if that person happens to be a Muslim, he/she is told to go to Pakistan. Now the latest is this lady getting arrested for saying "Pakistan Zindabad", which btw is harmless to say and should be allowed as per her right to free speech. It shouldn't warrant an arrest and charges especially bcuz she is mentally unstable as per the news in OP.

It is perhaps time to look inwards for u guys. It reminds me of the era of McCarthyism...where the US went so far in its opposition of communism that ppl were labeling each other as communists/communist sympathizers all willy nilly regardless of any proof whatsoever and innocent ppl were getting arrested based on false accusations. Such hatred is not healthy for any nation. If ultra right wing BJP/RSS want to use Pakistan as the boogeyman and incite hatred to gain political support or for unity or whatever...they must be very careful...it's a slippery slope and before u know it, u've done irreversible damage.

Champ, you are preaching to the choir.

Not much point.

Go look for the Sanghis. In spite of his posing in martial arts poses, @Nilgiri really isn't a Sanghi. He does it for the camouflage.

BTW, she was detained for disrupting the parade rehearsal, not for what she shouted, egregious though it was at the time and the place.
