India Pakistan Trade & peace: Are they linked?

Its not gonna happen, not in a racist manner but the thing is usually countries develop their own industry by providing a cheaper and lower quality options mostly in electronics and automobiles but this is not the case with Pakistan, if it was so then our own brands of electronics like PEL, DAWLENCE & WAVES(Though they have a higher quality than Koreans in some products as PEL for ACs, DAWLENCE for FRIDGES & WAVES for DEEPFREEZERS) would have been on top of sales. Pakistani market has not accepted even the Korean products openly. People are still hesitant in buying products from even LG, Samsung or korean motors like Hyundai or KIA. The only thing to make a place in market for a period stretched over 3-4 yrs was Hyundai Santro. Nothing else made it to the success. Because people here prefer buying Japenese and quality is a big concern, no matter even if the buyer has affordability issues.

Its Buy Good Buy Once Policy

So, neither Indian companies are going to trade with Pk in these products nor people are going to buy it. No racism Im just pointing on a consumer behavior in Pakistan.

You are right but at the same time you are wrong.You just Yourself pointed out the thing that People prefer to buy Japanese.Then you Your self gave the answer it's because of Quality not Because of People's Political or Religious Affiliations.Because Japanese and Koreans both are viewed as neutral in Pakistan.

Maybe and i am repeating Maybe our Products go in India and their Products come to Pakistan will face Racism.

But The question is FOR HOW LONG????????.If either country is giving Japanese quality products for Chinese Price.Then For how long the Consumer inspite of all their Prejudice will avoid the Thing.

For some hardcore rich people they might avoid for whole of their life.

But then Again in South Asia Most are not Rich.

So Slowly People will Soften up.And eventually the attraction of Cheap,Quality Products will overcome Consumer Hesitation.It will Only be a Matter of time.

But Of course One's Should take into mind today's Competitive Markets.If a Product no matter to which country does it belong if it is useless then it will easily lost the market to it's more Competitive Rivals.

Mate ................appreciate ur views but if you are part of globalized world you have to live with it.

In India , we buy LG etc koreans.............we do buy Finalnds Nokia..................we do buy mercides..................but this doesnt mean that our industries are paying the price...........but the competition made their products of superior quality.

And talking about automobiles.........................brands like Jaguar/ rover etc are Indian owned.

Future of Pakistan is linked with relation with India if Pak can give a Ecnomic Corridore to China it could also provide this facility to india to Trade with china and Central Asia and could supply Gas via IPI and TAPI if interests of both countries will combined thay can,t go against each other like Indian involvment in Balochistan and KPK

with increased stakes in the country's stability, peace ties definitely gain strength. if trade ties between India and Pakistan increase , it will have a trickle down effect on the military terms and the overall scenario of regional stability.
