In February 2021, India and Pakistan agreed to strictly observe all previous agreements on ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and other sectors, and to address core issues and concerns. It was their first joint statement in over eight years. But will the agreement be upheld this time? Both countries have come close to an all-out military conflict several times in the past two decades. DW takes a look at factors that are driving the hostility between the two South Asian neighbors.

Noticed that too in other news reporting. German still hosts one of the largest US military base outside US. So technically they are still partially occupied.

India keeps two-thirds of her strength agfainst Pak, and one-third against China....

Thanks to the active LAC, it's being reversed now....

When the USA supports a non-White ally, who becomes strategically important for the US game plan, in military terms it's the time to panic for that country....

yes, and all of NATO and western europe will do as washington wishes. france used to be a nation that didn't take much dictation but that too ended.

Now, India will also lose her strategic freedom, which has kept her fliating despite tons of humongous challenges - both domestic and international....

Other then small skirmishes, Indians aren’t fight Chinese or anyone else. Their beef is with Pakistan and Muslims of subcontinent. So if or when shit hits the fan, 3/3 will be against Pakistan.

calling it an occupation isnt accurate, the German people like that we have the Rammstien base there, it brings jobs and prosperity in that region.

US interest is only in selling weapons to India, the more fear in India and the more conflict more the better for jobs, economy and profits.

These German must be thankful to Pakistan. Today they are free because of pakistan. PAK goverment must tell them if PAK did not defeat sovit in 19z. Still They could have been under soviet occupation.
