But give me one example where the fall in the Indian Rupee has been enough make Indian products cheaper than importing them from China or elsewhere. Indian industry was not competitive enough in the first place.

And tell me then, why is the Indian trade deficit increasing? Were you unable able to replace imports with your own domestically produced products?

The data you are showing is old ...ie if it were to be presented today ..it would have been collected many months before.
Indian rupees has just started falling down..there is lag involved before the results start showing.eg Pakistan currency broke in 2008 it wasn't until 2010 there export improved.

china's currency has appreciated 30% since 2005 but chinese exports are still growing.

India's trade deficit average with China from 1980s to 2009-10 has decreased and is weaning off not Increasing like you have mentioned with your pathetic lul lol exageration.
