lol
Yes this is something that comes to my mind too.
But let me tell you that we hindus believe that one who is enlightened about the Devine knowledge of Brahman(supreme soul), is called as a Brahmin. So there's hardly any need for conversion. There's lot of difference between being a Brahmin for just name sake and living as a true Brahmin.
In the past many lower caste ppl like Vishwamitra, Drona were given a lot of respect due to the knowledge they possessed, so it's mostly about getting local acceptance. Albeit this happens very rarely.
Our constitution gives us the right to choose a religion and surname of our choice. But at the same time our govt collects population data on the basis of religion and caste(ofcourse for vote bank politics). And as ppl who're SC(scheduled caste) get a lot of privileges(like reservation in govt jobs) many prefer to remain SC than converting to a higher caste. So as long as we have "reservation" this would continue. Ppl for their own reasons would not want and would want to convert, it has it's pros and cons.
I'm surprised that this foolish MP didn't suggest that hindu men should get uterus transplanted so that more hindu children could be born.
