India Maoists call for strike over Koteshwar Rao killing

Indian PM must be smoking some serious stuff, why else he would say Maoists are the number one threat to India. He should start exporting it to Miami. There is a good market for it.

Our PM is many things but not a great statesman.His statement of Maoists being the greatest internal security challenge is BS at its best. No Maoist activity was reported in any of major Indian cities or any of the urban areas. Their writ starts and stops inside the thick jungles in the Deccan and their only committed foot soldiers are the tribals who live inside this jungles.

There's been a lot of Maoist incidents in Maharashtra, they are increasing their presence in Andhra Pradesh. That's 7 states in total, & 7 huge states. These are separate from the 7 sister states in North East India that are influenced by separatist movements. There were also intelligence reports that were saying that Maoists in Kerala were getting trained in Jharkhand.

Of-topic but not all seven NE states are troubled by insurgency.

and the Maoist presence is thinning out. Though they are a formidable force in many of our districts, i think our govt. can handle them.
