The 1947, 1965 & 1999 Indo-Pak wars ended in stalemates.

India claimed victory in 1971 thanks to infighting between two regions of the then Pakistan.

India always claimed that Pakistan never won against India in a ICC cricket tournament until Pakistan knocked out India in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final to claim the championship.

Similarly, Indian military has always claimed that Pakistan never won a war against India until PAF thunders brought IAF to its knees resulting in Pakistan's first victory over India in the history of Indo-Pak wars.

After pakistan did surgical strike on india their narrative changed. She said we don't want to escalate after india has done surgical strike.

Thats a narrow perspective, the battle was and is on the borders with each and every soldier.

Even in this battle of these two airmen warriors there were other aircraft, awacs radar teams control towers commanders wingmen ground support air defence. Which gave them the result which we saw.

I did say its a tiny analysis which boils down to this conclusion. Obviously, at a macro level, there is a lot of complexity involved which can have different translations for everyone.

The SU30 was a two man plane, he is the weapons/navigations officer of the SU30
