India is Paying the Price For VD Savarkar’s Advocacy of Rape

Yes and his tool is also worshipped and washed with milk.
Feed the milk to the poor instead of spilling it on a stone penis.
That milk doesn't flow down the drain. They are collected as prasadam and feed to the devotees.

And insult not those whom they (disbelievers) worship besides Allah, lest they insult Allah wrongfully without knowledge [al-An‘aam 6:108]
So this instruction doesn't come out of a sense of tolerance or genuine respect for other religions but for the fear that someone might insult back Islam in return.

@PakSword there's your answer. They don't deserve it.
If we hold back they will still insult our religion and say bad things about our intentions.
Hindu is on a different level.
The more you talk to them, the more you know how undeserving of any care they are.

I hope I have managed to convince you of my goodwill and good intentions in discussion.

No convincing needed. It is indeed a pleasure to discuss with you, and I am glad we have many views in common.

So this instruction doesn't come out of a sense of tolerance or genuine respect for other religions but for the fear that someone might insult back Islam in return.

The key here is the phrase "without knowledge". That someone may "unknowingly" insult your religion in turn, just to spite you.

This doesn't apply to you, as it seems you are very happy to insult Islam "knowingly".

Let them do what they want. We have been instructed not to insult. Here is the continuation from the previous.

"Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do."

I don't understand how caste system will be abolished if upper castes turn into lower castes. Of course you can't explain it any better.

It's like saying that Whites should just marry Blacks to support anti-racism as marrying Blacks will eventually stop racism.

Thank you for confirming that you have not understood my point.

True.
It's not that we don't insult their gods because we care about them. We actually care about our own faith in which we are asked not to insult their gods.
That's why I said nothing bad about Shiva and won't, but pointed out a certain religious practice which is disgusting for the least.

Either that or I got scares of @Joe Shearer "Dharma Yuddh" threat which he is going to fight against me first thing in the morning because he was too sleepy yesterday :D

@Safriz added his own fetish to make it sound more vile and insulting. Old tactics.

And you found it vile and insulting, instead of laugh-worthy? Would Siva have been offended? Or would he have laughed and gone on his way.

Now THAT'S the ticket! NOW you're talking.

A profound observation, a very, very critical observation, that ALL who have faith should remember every waking moment. For Hindus, it is very clear. They are very, very simply told that the worship that the Muslims offer is worship of the transcendent, and is to be respected.

The priests added their own little bit about these different worshippers being, as a result, different; but that flowed down from the times of the split within India between the older migrants who were left behind in the mountain tracts, and the newer ones who had pushed further inland into the plains of the Punjab, and even further, in yet another stage, into the heart of the Gangetic Plain. I might add, for the sake of future arguments, that given a choice between pasturing their cattle in the lush clearings of the Gangetic Plain, in the sudden breaks in the thick jungle that then prevailed all over south Asia, and between pasturing their cattle in the equally thickly forested ribbon of greenery around the river Sindhu, they really didn't find it a difficult decision.

That was how the word 'mlechha' originated; it was tagged onto anyone and everyone who threatened the domination of the priests in following ages; the Greeks got the title, their successors, the Saka/Scythians, the Pahlava/Parthians got it, the great Kushana got it, the Huns got it, the Ephthalites got it.....

So don't get insulted; don't be so touchy. Your scriptures have stated clearly what tolerance is about. It's about tolerance, not tolerance for a couple of seconds, while waiting eagerly for the next insult.

You are not called on to care, you are called on to withdraw, to let them be, and let their weird ways of worship be; not understanding what the other does is not good enough to condemn it.

Let them do what they want. We have been instructed not to insult. Here is the continuation from the previous.

"Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do."

Beautiful.

What can possibly be added to this? @Safriz, here you are. Very aptly selected by @PakSword. Let Siva tell the believer how to go beyond the stone, and to the transcendent, to the One God into whom they all merge.

True.

I do hope you don't mind a further short delay. Just woke up and am feeling quite peckish.

It strikes me that by now, these 'old tactics' should have led to the development of a reasonably thick layer of skin proof against these, to some of us, provocative remarks and gibes. What happens if we smile and ignore it?

Hang on. What's the problem therein? It's a means to an end and the end is righteous. People are weak by their nature. An incentive is required oftentimes to enable a positive mutually beneficial act. This is pragmatism.

I don't have to love your religion. So what if I don't?

It is the same as Christians saying "do unto others as you would have done unto you".

Is such simple maturity lost on you?

They have to be convinced about where they are going wrong. If points are valid, we should take steps and reform our religion.

I'm not talking about silly cartoons. I'm talking about open abuses that some people use. Again, like my previous point, if there is something which is valid, we should definitely take that into consideration.

There are many examples of this. India being too defensive with respect to Kashmir initially and Pakistan taking advantage of that and sending in militants. The 1990s expulsion as well.
Take Japanese invasion of China.
There are so many examples. Do you think ideas spread peacefully? Islam wouldn't have spread to India if Islamic invasions didn't happen. Christianity wouldn't have spread to Europe if the Christians weren't aggressive.

You are too all over the place here man.

Thats not a maratha quality. I get the underlying energy but you need good succinct focus.

Christianity spread in Europe is very different to how Islam spread in India.

But I will have to bite my lip on explaining this because this forum still cant make up its mind over "religious discussion is banned"....and where that "rule" (re-hewn recently) starts and ends.

We don't respect idolatry.

It is more about respect given to people and not the falsehoods they worship.

Hindutva is not logical. It wants revenge based on a false history which never happened.

During the Islamic conquest, all territories experienced their golden age. Poverty was reduced and wealth became abundant for all.

You misunderstand.

I may respect you regardless of your religion.

But I cannot respect idolatory. That is something no decent Muslim can compromise on.

There is a dangerous logical fallacy to your first argument.

If Hindutva grievances were true, that is IF the history they claim was true would you have given up your Deen?

I would not. Of that I am sure.
