How much will this cost? What’s the extend of it that’s needs to be cleansed?
There are dead animals and humans drifting in Ganges.
Yeah I know. It’s their holy river so I won’t troll on this post. Just interested to learn how they will accomplish this. Pollution is a big problem for many third world countries. Hopefully a good lesson can be learned from this.
Good luck to them.Ganges is extremely polluted. Cleaning this won't be easy.
They haven't even taken the very first basic step yet - constructing sewage/water treatment plants and routing all factory/household waste through those. If that is not done everything else is useless. All they are doing in the video is planing trees along the river and cutting down on fertilizer lmao, that's going to make maybe like 1-2% difference. They have tried all these type of gimmicks in the past spent tens of billions of dollars and failed. Ganga Yamuna rivers are open sewers to this date with chemicals, floating shit, floating bodies etc etc. First stop all this shit, chemicals and bodies going into the river first and then talk about cleaning up
I doubt it will ever be so clean that you can directly drink from it, unless you are in the himalayan areas, but if they take concrete steps it can be clean enough that you can bathe in it etc..Can this river potentially provide clean water if it does gets cleaned up?
Good thing is you are on a defence forum with virtually no women let alone feminists otherwise you'd have gotten in real trouble for referring to hairy armpits as disgusting. lolits disgustingly polluted in some areas (bodies set afloat, filth, sewage, chemicals etc)
but absolutely pristine in others
mirrors India nicely, disgusting filth in parts
and super nice otherwise

How about not polluting it in the first place? This requires a huge shift in society and culture. Impossible in the short term. Might take 100 years of education to return toxicity levels to a safe threshold.Yeah I know. It’s their holy river so I won’t troll on this post. Just interested to learn how they will accomplish this. Pollution is a big problem for many third world countries. Hopefully a good lesson can be learned from this.
We only see a very small portion of the river that is indeed polluted- however the river is indeed vast and mighty and snakes and cuts across the last, in parts its waters are as pristine as the azure sky on a summers day.
