I would dare say that the the majority have a Pakistani passport. I told him to do the math. He was shocked at the disloyal behavior. I explained him not to be shocked. Afghans are a cursed people. This land and its people have been cursed long ago by noble saints. Nothing good and productive will ever come out of Afghanistan.

Hmmm, let me see.....Taliban carries out humanitarian missions like suicide bombings in crowded market place, storming a hospital to kill sick patients, produce and engage in opium trade (remember these are Talibs of holy texts), destroying millennia old(older than their own religion) heritage of Humans, shooting women in the head for going to school, publicly shooting women in the head in midst of football field etc.

You say these peoples are the real representatives of Afghans and a democratically elected(Afghans casted votes in elections) government is a puppet? I don't think this is a effect if smoking drugs, its way more fundamental, down to psychological levels.

If you believe this current government is pro-Pakistan, then I don't know what you'd consider an anti-Pakistan government in Afghanistan. In any case, their stance on Pakistan is not entirely that important overall, even if it matters a lot to us. However, the real question is whether that government represents your people, all your people, and whether it can some how defeat or reconcile/deal with the Taliban. In my opinion, the latter is the only sensible option, and the former is not possible for now.

The problem there is that the Taliban and the people they represent have been kept out of all political processes and resigned to a terrorist group, not even a militia with political goals. It's a denial of reality that's been there since the Bonn Agreement in 2001 and since the 2002 loya jirga.

I actually got to Australia on an Indian passport as I lived in India for a few years, and neither I nor any of my family members (thankfully) have ever been a refugee or migrant in Pakistan. And besides, if I were to hold a Pakistani passport, I would never use it, since that isn't the best strategy to be granted asylum. The best strategy is to do what Pakistanis do and claim to be Afghans and be granted refugee status.
