India important for US to limit Chinese influence: Nicholas Burns

so finally the cat is out of the bag and we know its colour too, so lets have a deal. you wanna contain china militarily politically economically geostrategically ? then may we ask for latest US weapons without any stings attached ? can you invest and let Indian companies to invest in American markets and have mutual cooperation on WTO which failed miserably in Doha? you supported us for UN seat and supported to great extent in the nuke deal and after that even Australia is singing on our tunes, but can it gurantee us the seat ??? would you make us immune to sanctions ? would you help us in war like situation to hold on in Afghanistan against pak (geostrategically Americans are very important for us Indians to hold our position in Afghanistan)

It is CHECKMATE because PAKISTAN is there to neutralize India.

Hey mate, please don't bring Pakistan into this.

And in this supposed Chess game, we can't call Pakistan as even a pawn, as the pawn will commit suicide as it would not be able to handle the humiliation.

.
let usa think whatever it wants!!!!...........first it used pakistan to contain the soviet union!!!(and we know the long term consequence of that friendship)..............now it wants India to contain china??????.......no thanks!!! friendship is the way out and we want friendly relations with china!!!:)

Firstly, not one country in the entire world has openly called for an anti-China alliance, and we are the largest trading partner for almost all those countries.

Secondly, what good did it do you last time? :azn:

Nehru pleaded for US help against China in 1962 - Times Of India

India begged both the USA and the USSR for help against China. At that time (1962), China was a bitter enemy for BOTH the USA+USSR... yet still neither one came to help India.

If they did not do it back then, when we were weak and we were their bitter enemies, what are the chances of them helping you now... now that Russia is our friend, and the USA is our largest trading partner? :P

.
CD re-loaded with his 1962 obsession ...

come out of that buddy... face the future.. a full scale war will include many countries in current scenario...

stop living in 1962...its 2012..read the article..who is asking whose help:azn:

russia ur frnd???
i've not included Russia in my previous post for a reason..they will acts as a mere spectator.
all US waiting for is to Engage china in a regional Conflict and then start proxy war.

.
this is not surprising

in 1970s when USSR reached peak of might, US formed alliance with china to limit soviet influence.

now US has formed alliance with India to limit Chinese influence.

its natural as US wants no other nation to become superpower.

P.S - US partially opened up African markets for China.

India has come out of 1962 and has become many times stronger.

The 1967 Sino-Indian skirmish also known as the Chola incident, was a day-long military conflict between Indian troops and members of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Sikkim, who had infiltrated the area. The end of the battle saw the retreat of the People's Liberation Army from Sikkim. :P
Chola incident - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

in 1967 , when India was a neglected weak nation still bearing scars of 1962 forced your army to retreat from Sikkim.

India did this without help from US or SU.

china was not able to do anything.

Since then our military might has been increased many times and India can defend itself on its own.
