Building on recent accusatory statements by government representatives, Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday claimed that India was helping terrorist groups in Pakistan to carry out "heinous acts".

In an interview on DawnNews’s programme News Eye, the minister alleged that India "has designs on Pakistan".

“The Taliban have links with India. Also, India’s involvement in the insurgency in Balochistan cannot be ignored,” he said.

When asked to provide evidence for his claim, the minister dodged the question and proceeded to claim that a low intensity war was underway.

He stated that his allegations were based as much on conviction as on experience.

Public statements against India have been making their way into mainstream media. A day earlier, Adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had said that India was involved in acts carried out from Afghanistan’s soil in Pakistan.

Asif said that India wants to keep Pakistan busy with skirmishes on the eastern border so that the country remains distracted from the war on its western borders and the terrorism within.

Military sources had also claimed on Monday that one part of US Secretary of State John Kerry's visit would focus on the sharing of intelligence reports and evidence of Indian involvement in subversive activities across Pakistan. The evidence is alleged to credibly identify financial support, training and provision of weapons to militants.

Alternatively a wider body of evidence, some direct, some circumstantial, some based on intelligence gathered through third parties (intercepts of calls, satellite calls), indian agents caught alive and dead, videos of indian terrorists holding public rallies with AK 47s in Delhi and raising funds while being banned by printing ads in national newspapers, pakistani terrorists caught travelling on indian passports in riyadh, dubai, bangkok etc, Fazlullah's entire family openly living in india and marrying the elite of the country etc etc be presented.

So there is no need to take a ''Fazlullah or conviction'' extreme stand. Extremism is bad, I always tell pakistanis.

Give me a break with this holier than thou attitude, this is exactly whats wrong with you people giving rise to the notion 'Hindu Mentality'. You people are the ones who introduced this concept of supporting terrorism in other countries.

How much proof has India been able to provide against Pakistan? Zero. I am sure you know how the world of espionage works.

We have interrogated many senior TTP and BLA commanders and they have admitted that they have received weapons and money from Indian consulates. Bramdagh Bugti was photographed in Kabul walking out of the Indian Embassy with an Indian diplomat, these pictures were shared with the Americans. These accusations are right from the horse's mouth, a CO for a Unit deployed in Bajaur around 2010 told me about these incidents. It does not get anymore credible than this. It is largely a payback for the 90's, the question is how long will Pakistan tolerate this intransigence from India before launching its own covert war against India?

Questions for pakistanis

1)If India has links with terrorist why don't India use ttp to assassinate Hafiz saeed which is a sworn enemy and international terrorist Instead of Peshawar attacks as some Pakistanis claim??

2)why don't Pakistan drag India to U.N for terrorism Afterall there are 50 odd Muslim countries who will support Pakistan.

3)why are so many Pakistanis present in india for medical treatment and employment??
