There is a lot of misinformation on this thread. The JF-17 also known as FC-1 has its bases on a Chinese program called "Fighter China 1" Proof. This program has its roots in Super-7 program that was for the upgrade of Chinese J-7 fighter's Proof. Grumman had split on them that led to the local and it was in the back burner until the 1998's when China bought the specs for MIG-33 Proof. The JF17/FC-1 is based on MIG-33 and as such has the reasons associated of what made the MIG-33 a failure for the Russians and a reason why China has not integrated JF-17 in their fleet instead of the more expensive J-10.

Everything checks out... but mig 33 is associated with two fighter designs... one single and one twin engine. Later maturing it into mig 29.

Anyways. China already got j-10 which is said to have better performance than jf-17.... so what are your thoughts on that.
