I am from TN and my state is a historically water rich state with a strong agricultural background.Thanjavur district in TN was the rice bowl of india and historical kingdoms were based on that.
These days the river cauvery which starts from hills in Karnataka, dries up when it reaches the district. What was once a water intensive area cultivating rice has now become an area where rievr sand is being stolen illegally due to dried up river beds.
Due to seasonal changes, water levels have dried up upstream karnataka and the downstream has gone to the dogs.
This is the reality of water woes everywhere. What lies downstream is going to be at the mercy of the upstreamers since there is no water for everyone.
There is no use complaining,Bangladesh chose to live downstream and thus has to suffer nature's cruelty.India ll only worry its own concerns.
The worst part is after being at India's mercy, showing heroism and warrior mentality is not going to help anyone.
