The research and development for the sniper was done at Ishapore itself for over a year or so. According to an Ishapore official, it even won a gold medal in a shooting competition. The biggest advantage of an indigenous sniper: you will never run short of ammunition and spares.

You guys dont even know what the IA asked in GSQR. If 600 or similar meters is what they ask, OFB or whoever will give that. In the article of this news it's saying 800 meters, as is the old specs saying they're going to it.

This is not IA's new designate sniper rifle. So far it's been given to police, paramilitary.

IA is going for a sniper rifle chambering .338 Lapua Magnum.
