India gets an embarrassing blow from top international body over complaint against Pakistan

.
I don't think that restricting particular planes for security reasons is against internationally laws. However closure of complete air space against targeting some country without any reasons is asking for trouble.

and hence the reason for closure of certain air routes for security reason (its just a coincidence that those routes comes from India)

You deny him airspace he will deny your water lulz.
Indus water treaty is arbitrated by the World Bank with guarantees. India cannot revoke it unilaterally. Dont fall for Modi's cheap rhetoric every time. Use your own head for once.

It doesn’t mean that India can’t use western river’s water. The treaty says that India can use the water in western rivers in non-consumptiv" needs. Here non consumptive means we can use it for irrigation, storage and even for electricity production. (We jhave not fully utilized this provision so far).
I am aware of that. India can use its share of the water under the treaty whether you are using it or not is another thing but you cannot stop Pakistan's share of the water.

Because we are upper riparian state and also worlds largest secular democracy....

  • An overflight permit is an authorisation to enter the sovereign airspace (12 nm limit) of a given country, overfly, and exit it. The issuing of an overflight permit confirms that there is no political or security objection to your airline, aircraft, or country of origin/ destination, and that there are no outstanding navigation fees due to the ATC authority. Under the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation all contracting states permit overflight by other states, but for most national aviation authorities, prior approval is required in the form of an overflight permit.
  • A diplomatic permit is required where the aircraft concerned is government or military. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country for which you are overflying generally issues diplomatic permits.

According to Indus Water Treaty, non-consumptive use "does not include Agricultural Use or use for the generation of hydroelectric power". Read its Article I "Definitions".
