Japanese Water (Hydrogen Actually) Car
-------------------------------------------

Nice, Japanese re: vid. using an old Reva from India to demo the prototype or Proof-of-Concept.

Perhaps they should connect with Bisleri, or other water Co.'s in India to commercialise this rather than a car Co. which would see it as a threat to their business model.

:offtopic:

NRI remittances are up approx. $ 75 Billion.

Poverty schemes also about $ 75 Billion.

IT brings in $ 100 Billion, other exports like refinery petrol, jewellery, pharma, textiles, minerals and metals like ore, pig iron, bauxite and steel, basmati, tea, jute, auto and small farm pumps, motors, tools and related engg. goods, Bollywood together bring in another $ 100 Billion. All are traditional export goods with room for growth.

Total $ 200 Billion in exports alone/yrs. now.
:woot:
Total $ 200 x Rs. 55 = 11 Trillion/1 Lakh Cr.'s !

Easily the biggest draw on this inflow is oil and gas imports. Maybe up to $ 100 Billion. Good news is gas prices are crashing Globally re: US shale gas resurgance and local Indian paydirts in Bay of Bengal, Gujarat and hopefully non $ denominated pipeline gas from Burma, Iran, Turkmenistan, Iran, Mozambique and easy friendly long-term contracts from rich Qatar and Oz. coming online in the near future.

Since Indian economy is internally driven, exports are just the icing that the Indian cake was asking for.

Major infra. funding and much of the mega infra. is done. Freight corridors, river linking and irrigation like Narmada system, Rajasthan Canal, expensive metro systems, ports, dense use expressways, airports, Kashmir & Konkan rail are there.

There's awesome internal and good FDI investments. The Indian investment scene is presently at par with the Global investment play with many-many Indian mega $ Billion investment with better returns re: pent up demand Vs. optional demand anywhere else. For eg. the ROI on the proposed Keystone US - Canada pipeline may not be anywhere near the Iran-Pak-India-China pipeline, risks aside.

Bull run?

'Wacker' engg. ;)

One more thing re: what I said in my longish post above.

China, as well as the Gulf, are major investors in India, never mind that the world is all blah-blah about India Vs. China rivalry. For eg. the ANIL Am bani group's Mumbai metro and giant power plants source capital equipment from mainland Chinese Co.'s with obvious govt. blessings from both sides.

The Chinese diaspora is a major force in the Chinese story. Said diaspora is centered around Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan and coastal southern China and have strong historical, cultural and present day mega investments in India.

Rumour has it that privately, Pakistan is well invested in the Indian economy via the traditional 'pirate coast' of the Gulf better known as Dubai and UAE, Oman etc. for example Bollywood, real-estate like Bombay and trade. This too is within reason re: natural links and the Parsi-Sindhi-Gujarati family and erstwhile colonial connection between the worlds 2 major business cities of Mumbai and Karachi.

Looks like India doesn't have too many enemies in business.

I repeat, bull run. Population. Long, deep bull run.

In the past 25 yrs. India's put up :

Institutes of National Importance

Institute of National Importance (INI) is a status that may be conferred to a higher education institution in India by an act of parliament, an institution which "serves as a pivotal player in developing highly skilled personnel within the specified region of the country/state".[1] INIs receive special recognition and funding. The Department of Higher Education's list of 13 February 2012 includes 39 institutions.[2] Other institutes were also officially declared INIs on other occasions, and are also listed below. The Institutes of Information Technology Bill 2010 seeks to add the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) to the list.[3] The bill was approved on 17 August 2012.[4]

India developing but still a long way to go ...

Question : How long, exactly ?

Re: Prof. Hans Rosling, it will be in summer '48.

Rosling's TED vid. below tells EXACT day & month:

Awesome :) !

It's worrisome then that Pakistan's new, post Kerry-Luger Act policy imperative is Saudi petrodollars + Chinese hardware to destabilise India by proxy, 'assymetric' (fancy word for terrorism) warfare. The idea has always been to redirect Af-Pak. learning's and resources against it's proper enemy India.

Pak. nuclear umbrella being the preferred hiding camouflage and deterrent.

Af-Pak., Kashmir, Israel, US are all side issues.
Pak. army's :hehe: caught with it's pants down.

I can't post links yet but I wonder why no one has posted about the Trump Towers coming up in Pune. It's pretty big news. I know the guy's a huge miser jerk but nonetheless , he's improving the skyline :agree:
