73424185.jpg

mumbai is also marsh land kid!!!

What a joke...
Your per capita income ($1700)PPP is half of Indias($3700)

Mumbai average height will be higher than Dhaka that I mentioned. And no Mumbais is not a marsh land like Dhaka.

Idiot do you have any idea on soil and other technical stuff for building high rise building!! Building a 80-100 floor high rise building is not a big deal even though most of the developer will prefer that but soil of Dhaka wont support that... more over there are risk of earth quake. Civil aviation authority will object as well... For mumbai there are no bar from civil aviation as it is beside the sea coast... that is the reason why many high rise buldings can be built

Manhattan can built high rises onn silt!!! so can shanghai!!!

If civil aviation ministry objects...you can build a new downtown:rofl:

not an excuse!!!

It is reclaimed sea land - marsh land!!!

Dhaka comes second coz Delhi NCR is counted as 3 cities!!!

Manhattan was built on Stone structure under the silt. Where there were no stone structure they could not build tall buildings. Dont poont around which you dont know.

So we all agree that BD exporters are responsible for damaging BD image by exporting smuggled shrimp as BD shrimp and thus cheating EU and also bringing in a bad name to BD and India has nothing to do with it, so we can keep posting more poverty, toilets and skyscrapper rubbish on an already rubbish thread?

Good.

Idiot the airport of Dhaka is within the city not far from it so you can not build high rise building any where in the city unless you remove the airport from the city.

Government has tried it but got protest mostly politically motivated.

Mumbais as far as I know is a pre historic land mass and part of Indian plate. For BD its a delta created by Bhramaputra, Ganga and Barak silt.

Mumbai is reclaimed from 7 islands in 18-19 th centuries from the sea!!!!

The soil of Dhaka wont support that? Is it situated on quicksand surrounded by sea? Even the 1,053 ft BURJ AL ARAB hotel in Duba, the fourth tallest hotel in the world is built on an artificial island of sand and clay.

So what's the big deal?

Mumbai was 7 islands and marshland where land was claimed from the sea.

This Indians are always after circular logic. Its not about support, its about cost/floor and the market condition. YOu can build the structure but the cost will be very high. Ind Dubai, they can sell the floor to European whereas in Dhaka we go to sell them to locals.

By logic of BD members Dhaka is ahead of mumbai!!!

There is no need to argue, members can judge on their own which one is far more pleasing to the eye. Nevertheless, it must be mentioned that no sane and knowledgeable member from BD should even compare with the hapless backward regime of India. Instead, BD should aspire to be as developed as HK.

Can your economy support 130 high rises above 150 metre height as in mumbai:rofl:
