idiots like ypu need to read before typing garbage. Pakistan already told much before any such with us or againstvus headline " that we will not cut ties with Qatar neither we are joining any anti Iran move.Right, and we are not a puny country to take from arabs are you with us or against us.
Besides qatar has huge indian population and we will take care of them with whatever we can.
in my opinion that is right diplomatic move. Indian foreign policy with regard to the world sans Pakistan had always been sensible. So ?
This is just a humanitarian support and our expats are working in there.Entire GCC is very important to us
@Oscar @Spring Onion @Zibago and all other Pak members .
Please share your opinions about this development .
It's not question of being in danger or not, it's question of perception what will any government do to protect it's citizens.I don't think the expats in Qatar were in any immediate danger whatsoever. In fact, India is being seen to help Qatar more by breaking the blockade than helping its expats directly. And, it is not just the Indian expats that make up the numbers in Qatar. So it would have been the responsibility of all those nations whose expats were affected.
Besides, I don't have the numbers but I think there are far more Indian expats in other rival Gulf countries than in Qatar. What if other Gulf countries retaliate and send them back? Or even worse, make their living lives hell (more than it already is)?
Anyway, I hope all those smart people sitting in the South Block know what they are doing.
Are you sure about that? Like really sure?
Like you are any different to those poor people lolMaybe times have changed and Indians and others from the region will be able to visit this mall in Qatar.

Besides not only gulf countries but others will be position to assess that India is reliable to help or not when the country is in need , if it's has promised. This statement is far more important later when countries decide to sign pact or choose India over any other country.
Also more and more of gulf countries are any way decreasing the number of expats and sending back ,this being going for years .And no country will expel everyone without hurting themselves in these times when oil prices has already been so low and economy already in shaky ground.Besides we have compelling reason that blockade that other gulf countries imposed in holy of Ramadan was creating humatrian problem.
Only thing required by government is that they make it clear to all Gulf countries India is neutral and maintain equidistant from both factions in these intra - gulf spat.
Perception management is more important that will help us garner those critical economic factor which will develop our economy. Every country does that including India giving preferential treatment to countries which can help in long run. And in India case is far more important that it will give other far greater opportunity to find India is not only soft power but it is ready to use hard power when required.Perception management is the least of India's worries. Being a developing country, we have far more pressing issues than to worry about how others will perceive us. Besides, there is no better perception building exercise than becoming economically stronger - a la China. Every thing else follows.
When the Muslim countries of the Arabian Peninsula (the custodians of that religion and its symbols) didn't care about Ramadan, who are we to question their wisdom? For whatever reason, they think isolating a neighbor based on very flimsy excuse (even though they ALL can be blamed for the same crime that they are blaming Qatar for), during Ramadan is Halal. It should definitely be halal for us as well.
This is what I have been saying - Stay out of it. Nobody is looking at India for leadership in this conflict, and we will do ourselves a favor if we stay out of it.
It will not end well when we have millions and millions of low-skilled expats depending on other Gulf countries for employment.
Yup, our one and only goal should be ruthless pursuing of self interest! Period.
Would have been wiser to stay clear of the controversy and let the dust settle before making any moves.
Screw all those Gulf countries who have been spewing this venom of hatred and caused hundreds of thousands, if not millions of deaths worldwide in the name of religion and terrorism. Historically too, they have never been cordial to Indian subcontinent.
I can understand if India clears the air by saying that it is only helping out the hundreds of millions of expats in that country, but I suspect this move will only isolate India further and put millions of expats elsewhere in the gulf at jeopardy.
India is betting on a losing horse. Qatar is expected to bow down and kowtow Saudi line any day now.
Your people are literally treated as slaves in Qatar, granted, many of them aren't, but quite a few of them are. Your country couldn't give a toss.
And all you Pakistanis want is for them to be your cash cow.All they want is for us to be their enforcer. .
And all you Pakistanis want is for them to be your cash cow.
isnt that a fair trade off?LOL
Sensational title to boost some egos: The only routes that are embargoed are from Qatar to KSA, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain with a few other countries.. the ports and airports of Qatar are wide open to the rest of the world..
