NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- Indian law enforcement authorities have contracted Suspect Detection Systems to deliver its intelligence-gathering automated rapid interrogation technology
.

U.S. company SDS announced it has received an order to deliver its Cogito system for deployment in intelligence-gathering operations.

SDS says the order from Indian law enforcement officials follows several months of evaluation. The Cogito is a rapid interrogation technology used to support pre-crime and post-crime intelligence gathering.

"Our system has been successfully evaluated over several months, with our technology proving its value to law enforcement agencies working to solve and prevent crimes in India," Shabtai Shoval, SDS chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We expect that Cogito technology will become an important component in the crime fighting practices of this federal agency; and we are hopeful that Cogito will aid in the prevention of future crimes and terrorist attacks."
