India ,even if way lesser than China in economy ,still managed a diplomatic feat in Seoul where 44 nation supported us and only 4 supported so called emerging superpower.And 4 of them wont stay in that opinion when US began their game

Like I said, we fought in WW2 as an independent country. Before India even existed. That's how we got the seat.

More to the point, none of the veto members were opposing our entry.

Whereas India is being opposed by China. And we obviously have veto power in both organizations, among many others.

i dont get it, they put a 100 t-72 tanks on the chinese border and threaten, then they want help from china..... am i missing something here? because im confused as for @Chinese-Dragon 's remark on them trying to incentivise china to give them a seat in the security council is just a dream the nsg will be done when pakistan is ready quiet similar to when they both joined the sco near enough the same time

What can India give us in return for the NSG seat? And the UNSC seat?

Dude, India doesn't need to give anything. acquiescing only encourages this behavior from China in future.

India simply needs to wait for an opportunity and put a fly in the Chinese ointment. Carrots don't work unless your other hand is holding a stout stick.

It would be better for China and India to get along rather than this nonsense by the communist party.

I think you guys must have realized by now that "foreign pressure" usually has exactly the opposite effect on China.

When there was no foreign pressure we were happy to let India get the waiver in 2008, but today they are trying to put on the pressure so the result is the opposite.

China is no superpower that can fight the entire rest of the world with one hand tied behind its back despite what Pakistanis believe!

Better if both countries made space for the rise of the other with some give and take and old fashioned Asian respect than play these silly games, out of which nothing good will come.

Together Indians and Chinese make up almost half the worlds population. It is simply not feasible that India is denied its fair share of resources or made into some kind of second class citizen of the world in the long run! Simply will not and cannot happen.

The problem is you are putting us in a spot.

You went to America and got them to demand that the rest of the world lets India into the NSG. How can China possibly do that now without making ourselves look weak, by so easily giving in to foreign demands?

Whereas if you did it quietly (like in 2008 with the NSG waiver) then we wouldn't have needed to say anything about it, and could have let it pass like before.

Now it's been made into such a big issue that we can't back down anymore, unless India pays us big time like they did to the USA.

True, China is no superpower, we are only a developing country. Yet we fought directly against the entire United Nations during the Korean War (including against the USA and all her allies), then we went on to fight the USSR. Just because we are a developing country doesn't mean we won't fight for our interests, even against the entire world again and again.

Geopolitics is all about national interests. If it serves our interests to do so then we will do it. As should any nation.
