EIJING: India's concern over the presence of Chinese troops in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (***) was raised by External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today in his talks with leaders here.
Krishna who met four Chinese leaders including Foreign Minister, Yang Jiechi said India's concerns in this regard were conveyed during the talks.
"On the issue of Chinese presence of ***, Pakistan is in illegal occupation of certain areas of Jammu and Kashmir," Krishna told a media briefing here after his talks with Chinese leaders while answering a question.
"This has been brought to the attention of the Chinese leadership repeatedly and there it stands," he said.
Earlier, Indian Army Chief Gen V K Singh had said in New Delhi that around 4,000 Chinese including the troops of the People's Liberation Army of China are in ***.
His statement had come against the backdrop of concerns in India about the presence and engagement of Chinese troops in ***, which India considers as its own land.
