There are two primary reasons behind this:

Firstly whenever some rapist gets arrested there comes out hidnuvta extremists in his support like recently protests were made to defend the hindu police officer who raped an 8 yr old kashmiri Jammu girl and killed her. Plus with bollywood Sheela ki jawanis and Halkat jawanis like songs around whatelse will he think.

Second, there has been too much reporting of rape in indian media which isnt bad but it showed how terrible it is for women so the guy absorbed media coverage and fear women experience and used it to threaten her with it.

But still its very sad and iwould say its his parents bad parenting but then i also recall reading these posts on indian forums and these same posters are present at pdf too with diff ids. Now i am sure these guys parents didnt teach him that but normalizing of rape against kashmiris has led indian masses to think rape is a normal thing.

Its not about one teenager but so many teenagers who have this sorta attitude towards the women around them.
We have a huge problem.
Patriarchal society that we live in has to be replaced with balance/equality. Till then more such teenagers will threaten their teachers and their female classmates.

The content your country's film industry is producing has crossed limits of decency ........ its just a matter of time when hot love scenes would be considered a norm for every film ........

Just imagine a teenage Indian Pakistani boy watching this video(s) ....... its either you stop producing such content or you start introducing prom night sort of traditions to ease the frustration. But then again valentine being Haram on both sides leaves you with limited choices, because for us both the content and measures to ease the frustration are haram.

I don't know how @Levina and other ladies will look at this but yes, political/social/technological revolution uses patriarchal means mostly.

This is not to say of course that women aren't part of revolution. They are there, whether in older times like the Rani Of Jhansi or now like Shehla Rashid Shora and Malala Yousafzai.
