India, China Armies held flag meeting in Ladakh

Jammu, Oct 1 (PTI) Indian and China troops today held a flag meeting on Sino-Indian border in Ladakh sector of Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate 61st Anniversary of Peoples Republic of China.

A border personnel meeting was organized between India and China at Chinese Flag Meeting Hut towards Chinese side on Sino-India border in Chishul belt of Ladakh sector, to celebrate the 61st Anniversary of Peoples Republic of China, a Northern Command spokesman said.

The Indian delegation led by Brigadier Ajay Kumar was received by Chinese delegation leader Senior Colonel Awang Yang Pei, he said.

In the meeting, both sides agreed to contribute towards peace, stability and development of the region in consonance with Border Peace and Tranquility Agreements signed between the two countries, the spokesman said.

To clarify, I do not consider China and India to be "enemies", and neither does the CCP. Strategic rivals perhaps, but not enemies.
