300 million middle class.and rising
Apart from some of them owning cars and houses in 30-floor gated-community apartments or congested neighborhoods what is their development ? And even so their houses are not free but purchased on monthly installments and the houses are not independent max-two-floor single-family high-quality ones that are set in 80x100 foot plots that have a garden and at least one tree. And their neighborhoods are not formed of such harmonious houses. The neighborhoods don't have cats but are filled with dogs. And in any case there should be abolishment of privately-owned personal transport ( cars and two-wheelers both ) and instead the intra-city public transport system consist only of mass public transport ( buses ) which should be free and taxis. Will be fantastic for India ( and thus the world ) as it will remove most accidents, crime, congestion, pollution and general chaos.
Does this 300 million middle class have access to free food, healthcare, electricity, internet etc ?
And because India has 300 million middle class we should just ignore the farmer suicides, student suicides, professionals suiciding etc ?
the biggest it hub in the world outside of silicon valley.
Let us look at the idiocy and contradiction of it all :
1. Every year Indian colleges produce the most number of computer engineers in the world - about 160,000 - and this having been the fact for at least the last 20 years thereby there being a few million computer engineers in total.
2. Some of these rich, massively-staffed Indian IT companies have existed for decades. For example Infosys was founded 40 years ago and has 259,000+ employees out of which most will be computer engineers.
Yet these computer engineers and these huge and old companies have not created a single, Indian design / development of the two most fundamental elements in a classical digital binary computer - the microprocessor and the operating system. So what is this "second biggest IT hub in the world" doing ? What is its contribution to the computing world other than producing armies of code monkeys ?
Strictly talking about ISRO it has existed for 59 years and has been a government organization with huge funding and huge material and human resource allocation. It is yet to send an Indian into space by itself. Oh there is the plan to send two ( three ? ) Indians by the end of 2022 but the GSLV rocket is not ready in a reliable man-rated form. Yet the private American company SpaceX which is only 19 years old - 40 years younger than ISRO - has already sent a few humans into space to the International Space Station in Low Earth Orbit. SpaceX has lot less human, financial and material resource ownership but has outperformed the more massive ISRO. SpaceX now has the world's biggest spaceship combination ( the 29-engined Super Heavy booster atop which sits the six-engined Starship spaceship ). The Starship can potentially carry 100 people to Mars. The development is proceeding fast and SpaceX says there will be flight test of the combo to Low Earth Orbit by the end of this year and a Mars orbit flyby in 2024 and a manned Mars orbit flyby two years later and manned landing on Mars by 2030. Whereas ISRO is mostly content being a satellite developer.
But it is good that there are at least three new, private Indian space companies - Skyroot Aerospace, Agnikul Cosmos and Bellatrix Aerospace - that are developing space rockets and I hope by 2035 they individually or combinedly do a manned landing on Mars by 2035.
Please go back to my post you quoted.
well on it's way to establishing important economic hub in Asia
Sure, we in India will have White servants by 2030.
India is the biggest joke in the entire world. their white masters have absolutely no respect for them they are a laughing stock of a nation. poorer then sub saharan africa with the lowest IQs around.
Unfortunately India has had a wrong, unscientific, disharmonious and non-empathetic political, economic and social system which has led to needless and artificial tragedies which the current Hindutva-chanting middle class don't seem to understand and embarrass the sensible among the Indians on international platforms.
