India can make world’s cheapest N-reactors

No doubt nuk reactors art important, there are a lot of places where solar energy can be tapped and used like in Chennai where we have almost 8 months of summer, reduction of cost in solar pannels by the govt would help us a lot.

congrats...but we should invest more in green energy sector.India can easily cover its need if it use its resource properly.

But nuclear Nuts be India Pakistan or the world use this line quite a lot Coal is not gonna last foreverconveniently they forget nuclear waste last for very very long time I am all for Green energy.

Mass production will bring the cost down not government subsidies.

and I am sure those reactors will be more reliable than those Japanese ones.

Conventional energy requires a push by the government to increase the production. No company will keep producing without a demand in place.. The state govt's should enforce a rule for installing solar panels for all commercial and residential high rise building and for the industries/companies occupying a decent amount of open land..

and I am sure those reactors will be more reliable than those Japanese ones.

The new ones will certainly be more reliable than the japanese ones, because they are at least a generation (or two) ahead of the japanese ones. We will be absorbing the best technology that Russia and France have developed in the 90s, and everyone agrees that the French rule the roost when it comes to civilian nuclear tech. In terms of safety and efficiency, these would be comparable to the best in the world, and in terms of cost effectiveness, these will be THE BEST, since they will be built in India. (France has one of the highest labour costs in the world, and India has one of the lowest.)

Our scientists will gain very valuable knowledge by learning from firms like Areva. The civil nuclear deal has the potential to be one of the most important triumphs of the UPA govt, from a long term perspective. Suddenly the finest experts in reactor construction are queing up to sell their know-how to India, the world's biggest producers of uranium are all pushing to sell to India. Only a few years back, this was a sector that was completely closed to us. Now it looks like our medium to long term energy needs can be easily taken care of, if we capitalise on the opportunities. Invest in learning from the best in the world, construct nuclear plants in double quick time, create a huge pool of competent nuclear scientists and engineers, ensure uninterruptable supply of nuclear fuel from different sources.

Actually

Incident at Indian Point Reactor Complex, N. Y. 1984, UFO Casebook Files

And there was a radioactive leaking in Maya Puri, India 2010 where one fatality was reported.

Are u for real????????

That Mayapuri was a junk market incident happen due to a old lab equipment of Delhi University was being dismantled by junk dealer.

What does a mishandling of waste lab equipment of a education institute like University by a junk dealer have to do with the Nuclear Plant??? :woot: :woot:
