Indian Army Chief General M.M. Naravane earlier this month, admitted the force is recalibrating and refining its war strategy for “dynamic responses” below the threshold of all-out war against China and Pakistan. The Indian Army has launched the process of acquiring at least 100 man-portable loiter munition system that will play a crucial role in destroying enemy targets near the border without getting into the firing range. The infantry can operate man-portable system? with sensors at a range of not less than 15 km.

“The loiter munition system should be capable of providing the desired performance across all spectrums of employment in the Indian terrain and climatic conditions. It should have warheads to destroy personnel and soft-skinned targets,” the document released by infantry division said to manufacturers who wish to respond to the process.
The day-night system will have anti-jamming and anti-spoofing properties. The loiter munition system should be able to operate up to an altitude of 4,500 meters (Above Mean Sea Level) and not less than 300 meters (Above Ground Level).

Earlier, General Naravane had spoken about the importance of technological up-gradation of warcraft. He had stated that the old tanks and fighter aircraft were changed and the army has always been looking at the possible induction of laser and directed-energy weapons to focus on “dynamic responses or actions below the threshold of all-out war”.

The army chief had also emphasised on refining the army’s plans concerning the Pakistan and China borders.

General Naravane, who is the chief of 1.3 million-strong force, said military escalation could be managed if played with skill.

“China’s dominance and its taking over of the islands in the South China Sea is a prime example of this. With small incremental steps, none of which by themselves were serious enough to warrant any action or reaction, but cumulatively they achieved their aim without firing a shot,” he had said during a conference in New Delhi on 3 March.
As part of its plan for a significant overhaul of its infantry weapons, the Indian Army had launched several procurement processes including the purchase of light machine guns, assault rifles, and carbines since the Uri terror attack on Indian military installations in 2016. The Indian Army had retaliated with a cross- border strike against alleged terrorist camps on the Pakistan side of Kashmir in 2016.

Well, i have repeatedly written, that after 26th Feb 19, the dynamic of war between Pakistan and India has changed completely.
Before Indians made claims of surgical strikes, but there were no proofs of it.
But on 26th Feb, Pakistan acknowledged the intrusion but not much losses.
The fact that there had been no escalations, despite Indians declaring war on Pakistan.
I have also said that now Pakistan's nuclear deterrent is effectively over.
Now India would be bolder and would find newer way to attack Pakistan.
What a missed opportunity on 27th Feb. We should have not hesitated to destroy the 9 jets and taking off their installations and Brigade HQ.

Are you for real? They weren't even able to respond after 27th feb.

The capability seems to be to nutralize the HVT on LOC.... these munitions are very very costly
I doubt Indians will THAT foolish to escalate. Nuclear deterrant --for good or for bad-- is a reality everywhere.

It would be foolish to send a drone into pakistan ..

Response will be escalating with every violation .

If u are going to smacked dumb next day at least try to fire more than a laser guided anti tank missile from a drone

Well here we go again with the two front war theory.

India fighting China and Pakistan is actually the Joke of Century.

yeah we know why they didn't responded. They were planning the missile strikes, until they were given the warning by IK that we would have no choice but to respond. They heard it before so, they backed off.
But if we have given them bloody mouth, the whole idea of limited war would have been buried forever.

Well according to their previous army chief India was ready to fight at 2.5 fronts...now they have purchased more weaponry and Rafales are getting delivered...so I'm sure they r now ready to fight at 3.14159 fronts :partay:

*context for the joke above...today is March 14th aka pi day*

Did i mentioned Chinese products ..even Chinese products of good quality are costly

Cheap and quality never go hand in hand ...Indian products are still not world class ..we still lack quality Indian brands with international reach
all indian made items use chinese parts in some way.

You cant reduce the price of research you put in order to develop quality products ..you are right mass production can reduce the cost but upto a certain limit only F22 cost remained more of less same irrespective of numbers due to huge R&D cost
Mass scale helps bring costs down...things of equal quality will have price differences if one is built in small numbers while the other mass produced.
