India backs new sub-regional economic bloc Sasec, excluding Pakistan

.
Not just mindset but racially and culturally speaking, Pakistanis are different to indians, bengalis etc. If the truth be told, Pakistan is NOT REALLY a part of "South Asia" in the truest sense of the term.

Can you provide GENUINE, INDEPENDENT, IRREFUTABLE, RELIABLE & HONEST evidence for the above claims?

I agree.

But where is Pakistan geographically part of: Central Asia, West Asia or another region?

And what is the next step when you look at (regional) trade?

Should Pakistan be part of a (regional) trade bloc or should Pakistan have separate (trade) agreements with each country?
Separate free trade agreements. Why tie ourselves down to one of these groups where some which simply adds needless bureaucracy layers while dealing with folks we don't want to deal with on terms that are not decided by us? Brexit anyone??

Such groups are good for security issues, but not for Pakistani trade interests. We need strong bilateral remedies for trade. Notwithstanding my generic concerns over trade blocs, any group with Hindustan as the senior member is bound to act against our interests, whether we are part of it or not.

But to be honest, I do not see Pakistan to be compatible with neighbours to the west: Afghanistan and Iran.

The problem is only due to Indian meddling. It is political in nature.

For all intents and purposes, Pakistan is culturally continuous with Iran and Afghanistan. We have the same basic culture, and I would add Turkey also to that.

We represent the Persian and Sufi influenced sphere of Islamic countries. We also have a history of having Turkish leaders in our not too distant past.

But where is Pakistan geographically part of: Central Asia, West Asia or another region?

Middle East, Central Asia, and the path to South Asia (Sirhind.)

Our geographical location is Southwest Asia, which we share with Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

Except Sri Lanka all other countries are already Indian colonies.

SL has become an Indian colony (with full on Islamophobia and anti-Chinese sentiment) due to the recent false flag by RSS on a SL Church .

I do not think that Pakistan can fly solo and have separate agreements with other countries.
I also do not think that China and Turkey will be enough to help Pakistan.
It is not wise to place all your eggs in just two baskets.
In this world you need to be part of an (geopolitical) alliance which is mostly regional based.

We are not solo, despite the wishful thinking of India.

It is India which is becoming increasingly isolated and humiliated internationally.

Kashmiris have rejected them, and now the whole world sees it.

China, Turkey, new Afghan government are merely the closest allies and economic partners of Pakistan, not our only friendly nations.

We have strong clout and historical ties with most Islamic nations, and cordial ties with Russia, European countries, and East Asian countries.

Pakistan is on good terms with the other members, except Afghanistan and Iran.

Next incoming government of Afghanistan is Pakistan’s closest ally and friend in the region.

We have normal ties with Iran, nothing special but not poor either.

People of Iran and Pakistan have positive attitudes of each other.

I agree with the incompatible part.

But to be honest, I do not see Pakistan to be compatible with neighbours to the west: Afghanistan and Iran.

Do you think that Pakistan should even be part of a regional economic / trade bloc?

Or do you think that Pakistan should fly solo with separate (free trade) agreements and projects with each country (such as with China and Turkey)?

I am in Germany and work with people from Iran, Afghanistan, Caucasus, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, I always find them "extremely compatible" to my Pakistani mindset. When I was back in Pakistan I also used to think that we are "more" similar to indians because of influence of indian movies and our own india obsessed media. But living in Germany I have never been able to feel "compatible" or comfortable with any indians except few Sikhs who were from families that migrated from Pakistani Punjab to Indian Punjab. The indian Punjabis who have deep roots in indian punjab, I have always found them to be big POS like other indians. I remember I met a "Malhi Jatt" Sikh guy (clean shaven, his family had migrated from a village in Sheikhupura Pakistan in 1947) in a Pizza shop where I used to work and I found him very compatible in behavior and mindset to me than other Sikh workers there who were of indigenous origin from indian punjab.

What makes you think Srilanka is not?
U played dirty games with them and they know it.

Can you provide GENUINE, INDEPENDENT, IRREFUTABLE, RELIABLE & HONEST evidence for the above claims?
DNA study show that most of Pakistanis are different from Indians. Majority of us have roots from iran, central asia and few with small percentage from jews. Punjabis and Pathans have 38% common DNA.
We r different by every way.

India backs new sub-regional economic bloc, excluding Pakistan

Surojit Gupta & Sidhartha

NEW DELHI:

India is backing the revival of a new regional economic bloc, excluding Pakistan as New Delhi presses ahead to deepen ties and push regional integration under the South Asia sub-regional Economic Cooperation (Sasec).

Given the political hostilities between the two nuclear-armed neighbours and the frustration with the slow progress over the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc), policymakers have decided to forge ahead with the new bloc of fast growing south Asian countries such as Bangladesh and Myanmar.

“India is also very keen about SASEC including Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and India. There will be a meeting of finance ministers for the first time next spring in New Delhi. Regional integration and cooperation is very important. Bangladesh is doing very well,” Takehiko Nakao, president of the Asian Development Bank, told TOI.

Nakao said finance ministers from the new sub-regional economic block will meet in New Delhi next spring to thrash out the strategy for the way ahead.

The foundation of Sasec was laid way back in 2001 when Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal agreed for deeper cooperation to accelerate economic growth in the sub region. Maldives and Sri Lanka joined the group in 2014 and in 2017, Myanmar was included.

In 2017, ministers from the SASEC group had met to discuss the way forward but since then progress has been limited but since then progress has been limited but now with India's insistence, the group is expected to chalk out a clear roadmap of sub regional integration.

Chinese OBOR and BRI has one of the economic corridors planned via Myanmar. However, to counter Chinese influence USA has been heavily investing in Myanmar. Helping their economy, a lot of Western and US companies working their.
This move has deep strategic tone to it as India is set up and supported by US to counter China.
