So far we didn't hear of any instance of punishing the wholesalers for introducing formalin into their products. Only the retailers are being fined sometimes. I don't think the govt is sincere about solving the problem.

Btw, adding any pungent chemical to formalin in order to detect an adulteration may not be the solution. Formalin (formaldehyde) is mainly used in synthetic polymer (plastic, roughly speaking) industries and polymer reactions are highly sensitive to foreign substances.

Don't be delusional. RAW and Awami thugs are shooting people on sight and killing anyone who opposes them. Unlike India or Pakistan, Bangladesh is now an Indian sponsored open air prison and killing fields. And Hasina was not elected by people of Bangladesh, she was installed by India as the puppet dictator, so India bears full responsibility for everything that happens in Bangladesh now, including this formalin fiasco, which is making the entire population sick and Awami League politicians do not give a damn. In fact I think it goes along with Hindutva extremist plan of making them sick and eventually exterminating Muslim Bangladeshi's with drugs like phensydil, yaba etc. and poisonous chemicals like formalin and pesticides.
