India asks Pakistan to build Kartapur corridor.

what will they urge Pakistan govt? Pakistan already conveyed India of its decision to open Kartarpur corridor for 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak and that PM will do on Nov 28.

Oh oh! the pain is why did Pakistan took initiative. Also General Qamar Bajwa told Nawjot Singh Sidhu that Pakistan would open the corridor on oath taking ceremony of PM.

We should ban anyone with an Indian passport from coming into our country unless and until our neighbour actually bothers to try and resolve it's disputes with us.

But of course, the spineless dogs in power won't do that.

NEW DEHLI: In a significant move, the Indian government has approved the development of Kartarpur corridor months after Pakistan offered to build the passage to facilitate the Sikh pilgrims wanted to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal District near the Indian border.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
“In landmark decision, the Cabinet approves building and development of Kartarpur corridor from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district to International Border. Kartarpur corridor project with all modern amenities and facilities to be implemented with Central Government funding, the minister tweeted Thursday.

He further added: The Kartarpur corridor will provide smooth and easy passage to pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib throughout the year.

Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, which is three kilometres from the India-Pakistan border, is the final resting place of Guru Nanak where he spent 18 years.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry hailed the decision and termed it as ‘victory of peace lobby in both countries’.

“It’s a step towards right direction and we hope such steps will encourage voice of reasons and tranquility on both sides of the border,” he further added.

In August, when Punjab Minister Novjot Singh Sidhu visited Pakistan to attend the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa offered him to build a corridor for the Sikh pilgrims.

Later, the cricketer-turned politician was heavily criticised by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for visiting Islamabad.

Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday welcomed the Indian move to commence the construction of the Kartarpur corridor and called it a “victory of peace”.

“It is a step towards the right direction and we hope such steps will encourage voice of reasons and tranquillity on both sides of the border,” he said via Twitter

Pakistan has already made this offer to India and now Indians are trying to act like they were the first one to suggest it.
Sikh pilgrims' visa-free entry: Construction of Kartarpur corridor to begin soon
So here is the gist. Pakistan has already conducted the survey and announced the groundbreaking for Nov 28 i.e. 6 days from now. Then India, attempting to take credit after having rejected the proposal three months ago, announces that it will build the Kartarpur corridor, and urges Pakistan to do the same on its side.

When Pakistan announced the Kartarpur corridor, the Indian government's initial rejection did not sit well with most Sikhs. The Indian establishment has a serious problem on its hands in the form of Sikh nationalism, and placating the Sikhs while insisting on "atoot ang" is a fine balancing act. The fact is that they risked alienating an influential section of their population had they not agreed to this proposal.

They can pretend all they want that they initiated this project. But the Sikhs and everyone who has not been living under a rock for the last four months knows that the proposal was Pakistan's . The only people who will buy the Indian government's narrative are the ruling party's core political base - the staunch Hindu nationalists who will not be swayed even if Modi commits murder in broad daylight (Gujrat?).

Pakistan, on the other hand, has scored a moral and diplomatic victory, and earned the goodwill of Sikhs everywhere.

So what we should think about this U-TURN of india. They refused to talk and now asking what we said about to Siddhu sb. Is it because Siddhu has become popular in Punjab over this issue and to counter this Modi has decided to tread on the same path?

Your opinions r invited.

Modi ka jo yar he .......................................

Siddhu is a nobody in Indian politics, you are reading too much into this.
Siddhu is RAW employee. right?
