India and Pakistan share Nobel Peace Prize for the first time

. . . . .
Kailash Satyarthi has freed more than 80000 child laborers, what has Malala actually done to get this much?

I don't know about Kalash but you are right malala don't fits for this award. She didn't done any things good for being worthy of the award and she is not even worthy for any other awards either. She is being used by west to malign Pakistan. If award is given to her merely because she got shot by terrorist then why they don't see thousands of people who died in Pakistan in hands of both Taliban and drones. And there was a brave Pakistani boy who sacrificed his own life to save the lives of other kids in school, when terrorists were going to blow the school. This boy deserves an award rather than this malala, who is sitting in England and talking about girls rights. Apart from this another great Pakistani which world has ignored is abdul satar Edhi who has rescued over 20,000 abandoned infants, rehabilitated over 50,000 orphans and has trained over 40,000 nurses. It also runs over three hundred and thirty welfare centres in rural and urban areas of Pakistan which operate as food kitchens, rehabilitation homes, shelters for abandoned women and children and clinics for the mentally handicapped. Edhi has remained a simple and humble man. To this day, he owns two pairs of clothes, has never taken a salary from his organisation and lives in a small two bedroom apartment over his clinic in Karachi. This guy deserves to be awarded rather then obama and other puppets.

. .
Here are 5 facts about the life and work of India's first Nobel Peace Prize winner:
  1. He belongs to Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh. He was an electrical engineer who turned into an activist for children's rights at the age of 26.
  2. In 1983, he founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) to fight child labour. His efforts have helped rescue thousands of children from bondage, trafficking and exploitative labour.
  3. With the help of NGOs and activists, he has organized hundreds of raids on factories and warehouses where children were being made to work.
  4. He created "Rugmark" which certifies that carpets and rugs sold abroad have been made without the labour of children. The initiative turned out to be highly successful in raising international awareness about children's rights.
  5. After Narendra Modi was elected Prime Minister, Mr Satyarthi tweeted, "A tea-boy dares his detractors by becoming the PM of India. Now it's his turn to ensure that no child is forced to become a child labourer."

Like what is worst? Sharing a noble prize with a Indian. Anyways it is a politicized award anyways.

I'm sorry the world is not able to whitewash your crappy society where a girl can be shot with an AK 47 because she said she wanted to go to school. Must be deeply disturbing that we are not able to ignore it.

That was way later. I think it's primarily the symbolic and historic significance of an African American becoming US President. Historically that accomplished the full turn from being slaves to becoming leaders.

.
Congratulation both Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai. South Asia needs people like them who can see beyond war and conspiracies

She wasn't given the Nobel for getting shot. She received it because for years, she had been campaigning to let girls go to school, which is what the taliban specifically targetted her for.
