actually it is not a fishermen issue. TN state politicians wants to make SL-Ind relations bad. That is the influence they get from LTTE abroad. Fishermen are merely pawns in that game. SL and india should not fall for that.

India should realize that, SL being an island nation, fish resource is very important. That too for northern people who are trying to make a living after war. The intrusions from TN is bad for northern tamils to develop fisheries industry here.

We are fighting for a territory which is just 1.15km2 large
Can't there be a middle way like allowing both SL & India fisherman to use the waters
& I don't think that such a small territory should block greater trade & Investment btw India & SL
Millions of people will get employment if greater trade & investment is promoted btw the 2 countries
