India, Afghanistan, US Trilateral Meet Resumes This Year: Foreign Ministry

The MEA said the trilateral meeting of India, Afghanistan and US will resume this year.

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday said the trilateral meeting of India, Afghanistan and the United States, which had stopped in 2013, will resume this year on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

"The trilateral started in 2012. Another round was held in 2013 and may be for scheduling reasons or other reasons it could not meet for two years and now it is going to meet again in 2016 on the margins of the UNGA," MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup told the media.

During the Second India-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue (S&CD) in the national capital earlier on Tuesday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, "In view of the rapidly evolving regional and global situation, India looks forward to resuming the meeting of the trilateral with Afghanistan; consultations on Africa and on multilateral issues within this year."

Pakistan does not have any craphold on Afghanistan.
They think that if they instill terrorism and support Taliban they can control Afghans like puppet.
Afghanistan has a civilian government now who will never lose it any cost. The talibans will be forgotten and sidelined if they don't join the government. Pakistan never has any influence over any country...it is all a mirage and a by-product of targeted propaganda that Pakistan is a powerful Muslim nation. In reality Pakistan is a weak nation with weak institutions, corrupt political brass, timid judiciary, down-the-drain economy and a bunch of terrorists.
