Basic human identifying nature has changed in Pakistan and it is our own fault. Outside Pakistan it does not really matter which sect you are from or what caste you are from, localities matter at times, but castes are never considered much. They live as Pakistanis and which is why there are loving friendly people...
It is our ego centric shit filled minds here in Pakistan that makes us think our caste, sect, and way of life is the best. And as an enemy they exploit that, we are easy targets because we are taught to identify in the wrong way. We do not know who our neighbours are, we live in bubbles and that is why we only identify certain castes as our own.
A long topic, simply put we need to identify with other humans at a base level, and not doing that has weakened us which if exploited, as it is now, will only make those small cracks we have made grow into larger ones...

Our families need to get us out of the caste bubble, all castes should not feature in names, and we should stop identifying ourselves with our castes. We are the ones at fault for teaching kids that they are not Pakistanis as their basic identifications, for a nation free of caste system, we hold on to it like it is our first love.
Look around at the names on this page, and you will see predominant featuring of caste names if real ones are not used. Till we have that we will not identify in other ways.

The best way to control or contain this problem is to change things at the ground level. The dining rooms, the schools. Again very well said and i agree.
