Incident on Gaza-Israel border

Ceasefire agreement not getting implemented. Egyptian mediators came in and out of Gaza for several months to achieve calm during which Israel agreed to lift restrictions on the Strip. It did not, and today the Israeli army came out saying it has completed preparations for a war with Gaza. Implying that the whole mediation talks were a farce to buy time.

Now a border clash seems to have occurred. Both Palestinian and Israeli soldiers injured/killed. With two Israeli air strikes afterwards and incident is ongoing. Another artillery strike now.

Israeli media is claiming one Palestinian killed and 3 Israeli soldiers injured.

The Palestinian Resistance takes the welfare of its people seriously and will not react kindly to those year long visits by mediators which is just intended to give false promises to the people of the strip in order to buy time for the Israeli army.

Another possibility is an Israeli special force committed an deep incursion along the border and was engaged. Gunfire/artillery strikes being heard in Gaza's eastern border still.

Reports now say one Palestinian crossed the border on his own and opened fire on Israeli soldiers injuring three of them. That Palestinian was killed by an Israeli drone strike. And other strikes caused confusion and made have led to clashes between Palestinian soldiers and Israeli soldiers. The details haven't all came out yet.

There are no reports of casualties by Palestinian sources.

Gunfire heard on Khan Yunis border again. Ambulances on Israeli side arrive. Could mean there is a Palestinian casualty on their side.

There is no peace on any border. Look at Israel-Syria, Lebanon-Israel, Turkey-Syria, Turkey-Iraq, Saudi Arabia-Yemen, Iran-Pakistan, Afghanistan-Iran, Pakistan-India, etc.... Things happen but we don't know what happened here exactly just yet as Israeli media hasn't released any details. It could be an isolated incident. Otherwise, if you are referring to one or two state solution then of course we are all in favor of that ....

Edit:

Israeli army says single Palestinian crossed border and fired upon Israeli forces injuring 3(1 moderately, 2 lightly). Afterwards died in another clash in the area.

Palestinians say it was an border officer killed.

Another incident along border. Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinian forces manning border outposts. Palestinians returned fire and Israeli forces fired artillery shells at the outposts. Israeli reports suggest two Palestinians were killed. Not the border officers but separate individuals who crossed the border. Although there is no confirmation for now.

There is a possibility they were trying to avenge the West Bank operation yesterday by killing unrelated people in Gaza. If that is the case then there will certainly be killed Israeli terrorists tomorrow.

IDF forces approach Nimr gate along the border, appear to drag two Palestinian casualties to their side. Other reports say there are three Palestinians killed on Palestinian side of border. Unclear if border officers or not.

Official story now seems to be Palestinian border officers chased after someone trying to run out of Gaza into Israeli border. And while pursuing said person ended up being fired upon by Israeli forces. And later drones fired on them martyring them.

I'm relying on early reports. Now that the official story is out, it seems some soldiers are disobeying their command due to overall frustration with situation in Gaza.

No, they are not terrorists. They aren't transgressing in anyway. If they went to Syria to help Assad kill his population I would consider them to be terrorists. Even though they are my own people. And this thread is old, related to earlier incident while it was happening so no one knew what was going on at the time I created the thread.
