In world’s biggest democracy, parliament doesn’t work

True, but we gotta wait a long time for that day to come. With India's current gdp per capita and development, India will make it to industrialized level in maybe 60 years...
60 years or later is some thing that you can not come up with. its the will of the citizens and nationalizm, etc and good guidance from friendly nations that will make it sooner and

note - this is our problem and we are the best judge of how we can do it better and not you.

You know why so far democracy works in Germany and many other European countries? It's because our population is generallty educated and we have the money to distribute. As long as these two factors are not fullfilled it's futile to talk about democracy.

Agree with you, democracy only works properly when the general population is well educated. There is a saying in bengali "Oshikkhitor kache gonotontro maney manush marar shorojontro" which basically means Democracy to uneducated people means a conspiracy to kill people. People who disagree should take a look at some of the successful economies of asia like Singapore and Malaysia, most of the major developments took place under a dictatorship.

Just don't compare a nation of small population such as yours and Indias.
Besides the education and development in your country is because you were a active participant of the INdustrial revolution and we are not.
It will take time for us to attain the level of education that you have attained, but when that happens you'll see not a simple nation but a mighty nation that commands the respect and honor of every nation in the world and that includes both friends and foes.

I disagree with you. During the industrialisation our government was authoritarian, even Great Britain was until the end of WWII was not fully democratic. The US didn't become really democratic until segragation was abolished. That was the time when the US was already the richest country in the world for a long time. And the US is by no means very small.

never in a democracy you can arive at a concensus easily. but when they do it will be a policy for a life time that scrapes all the negatives of action.

My experience is very different. How often have there been laws reversed when a different party came to power? The nuclear energy debate in Germany is a fine example of that.
