At JSC "Machine-Building Plant" in Elektrostal near Moscow experts have collected the first fuel element (FE) standard design for space nuclear electric propulsion plant (NPPUs). This was reported by the press service of the State Corporation "Rosatom". Chief designer of the reactor plant is "NIKIET".
Work carried out in the framework of the project "Creation of transport and energy module based on NPPUs megawatt class." According to the Director and General Designer of "NIKIET" Yuri Dragunov NPPUs according to plan should be ready in 2018.
