Originally Rustom 2 flight test was scheduled in July end and august first couple of days. It was suppose to do a taxi run and see if it can do a take off if the confidence level is high.
That got cancelled at the last moment as checks revealed the overweight angle as well as the fact that its crossing the requirement by over 33% meaning endurance angle will be much lower than stated 36 hours+.
Livefist has a habit of lying for all the wrong reasons.
@proud_indian
This was the pic livefist posted
and now look at this
http://idrw.org/ade-confident-of-the-first-flight-of-rustom-ii-mid-this-year/
Zoom pic only makes it blurry. Notice the date. i dont know why Livefist is reuploading old pics and watermarking them to say its exclusive to theirs.
On the sensor package, again livefist is spreading a misinformation. Its true there will be payload packages for recon missions and more so its getting developed and fine tuned bcz we need such packages for our UAVs. But Rustom2 package is not new
This is an old drawing based on which scaled model was made for exhibitions
Notice the dark green colored package.
For a long time we struggled with the engine thats there in Rustom 2. The engine was sub 100 bhp whereas requirement was 150 bhp + and finally some efforts were made to get 185+bhp engines under a tender in DRDO. On top financial constraints are there and even now it hampers the development process.
