In China, an App About Xi Is Impossible to Ignore — Even if You Try

The fact that you keep avoiding the main issue is a certain sign that you know this app is true and that its intention is anything but noble.

It is practical from the perspective of maintaining psychological control of a citizenry. It is creative in exploiting social media. There are many ways we can praise this app. But am sure you know what I mean here...:enjoy:
I can swear to anyone that I don't know this app, but I also mentioned I can say for sure if it is existed or not due to lack of relevant information. Western media is a habitual liar cause I have experience in living both in China and US, but that's not important, wether you like to download an app or not is your own personal business, do you have Chinese friends and do they have friends or families in China? You can ask them whether they have people they know downloaded this so called top app in China.

If the Party pressure you to use this app, would you? Simple question, no?

Now, we have to be realistic here. Usually with authoritarian governments, any 'suggestion' by the government is essentially a command. Refusal to obey are given one chance with a hint of negative consequences. Second refusal and phhhtthh -- you disappear in the middle of the night.

That only shows how little you know about China and how brainwashed you are , being living under a rock and exposed to trecherous western media for too long.

Chinese submitted to Mao's Red Book at one point. Looks like you now are equally vulnerable to an updated version.

Mao's Red Book? MY.. How old are you?!

Not many people alive today still remember that..

Am 56. But why does that matter? When you guys extols the virtues of China, you have no problems bringing back Chinese historical figures of hundreds and thousands of yrs ago. So what is the big deal with me bringing up Mao?

Ok, now I know that you are an old guy being stuck in Mao's era with decades old cold war mentality. China's fast ascending is a known fact being observed around the world, you can forever deny it and live under your beloved decades old rock.

just check any app distribution channels and IOS app store, have a look how many people actually download this "must" app`````such simple research deemed mission impossible to stupid and gullible people```

The list isn't available because it is very recent. But many many people have seen data provided by analytics companies and reported on it.

That is hilarious considering how much Mao and his methods are venerated by you guys in this forum.
it is also hilarious considering how much Western Ideology and its disgusting past are venerated by simpleton like you lot in the West? especially in the States?

@cirr @Han Patriot @TaiShang and others..

Is this what China really wants. A new cult of personality. Forcing everyone to download and spend time on the little red app? What good ever came out of it?

The cult of personality was considered harmful by the party itself before Xi Jinping. But Xi Jinping seems to have forgotten the lessons of the cultural revolution.
it's interesting to read this kind of news, they carefully skipped all important truths.
1. only Communist Party members should install this app. as a CCP member, they should attend this kind study activities every month. this app is just some kind of CCP management app.
2. about this APP, it more like TED, filled with many technical topics.
3. it's a really good app, due to many licence issue, some important technical lessons are difficult to find and download by internet, but you can view it in this APP, free, and can gain points.

BTW, this app name is "学习强国", it means study to make states great. "强"is verb, it doesn't means study our great country.

Am not mocking anyone's veneration of his country's past, if that is what you thought. I just think it is hilarious that you guys would criticize me for bringing up Mao when you guys have been doing it all the time. All countries have in their past eras that are distasteful in today's perspective.

As for this app, there is no conspiracy here. Somewhere someone in China found it. You guys talk as if China is like NKR where everything is closed off. People found it and they are reporting it. Its usage maybe low at this time, but its existence seems to be perfectly inline with China's history. Mao have his Red Book and in his time, whoever does not have a copy in immediate possession was liable to reap negative consequences. That paper 'app' of China's history you cannot deny.

But it is telling the vehemence of you guys' denial. It means you know that the idea of such a cult figure is possible in China and that you are embarrassed about it. It is Mao all over again.

this APP is only for CCP members, of course, every CCP member HAVE TO install it. collect study point and review every one points every month.
it's very difficult to join into CCP in China. so many Chinese don't know this app at all. for example, in a college , about every 50 to 100 has a CCP member, normally, he is the rank top 1 students. CCP member student is very very rare.

BTW, this APP is very interesting and useful, many many technical topics, some like TED, but not same, more features, just feel like enter into college again. have to study hard every day.
