Imran's poll campaign makes impressive start

PPP is smarter than I thought. The uneducated segment can't read about PTI's massive presence in the newspapers, but they can see PPP's ads on TV.

Plus they're using B.Bhutto's death as a blackmailing campaign again. Do none of their leadership have any success to claim? Why are they still resorting to using someone else's name for elections?

Pal, gone are the days when PPPP would bamboozle people by exploiting their leaders death. People in interior Sindh has started humiliating campaigners. There are many incidences but mentioning them here won't be wise because of their obscene nature.

I disagree a bit here. The Income Support Bribe program has got them the votes needed to stay in mainstream politics, at least in Sindh. The naming included "Benazir" to remind these poor slaves who their daddy is. And those poor people don't care that the Zardaris are not Bhuttos (as if the Bhuttos were competent to begin with).

But you are right that anti-PPP sentiments are on the rise. Their leaders hide in castles while they toil in the heat for a glimpse of their kings. All this bodes ill for the Shaheed Party who has yet to embrace the 21st century. Same goes for PML(N).

You didn't get what was implied. Actually my post had more to do with sympathy votes, votes which are gained through psychological manipulation, political tempting is different thing altogether. PPP this time round lacks the political leverage of its leaders death/assassination, self-victimization that would earn them votes in past is no more a toll now. Die hard fans of Bhuttoism are now asking where are the murderess of BB!

In Sindh, interior Sindh in particular, the process of elections traditionally have been between PPP and anti-PPP. Anti-PPP vote has been always there - it is on rise because people who would support PPP, regardless of the reason, are now supporting other parties. I see it as a change in tradition.
