And what exactly is the issue? It was legally acquired by paying the full retention cost on the assessed value (of around Rs.10 million). Did he not pay the complete retention amount? Did he not pay the applicable taxes from the sale proceedings?

If it was sold for much lesser amount than the assessed value, it was his loss. If the incumbent PDM government has proof that the gifts were sold at much higher price and the income tax declaration was falsified, the onus of furnishing legally binding proof/ documentation lies solely on the incumbent government and the prosecutors.
