Coming back to Imran Khan, demanding military to be on his side as people imply;

Institutions should be on the same page with majority party, not other way round. Today, no political party can claim to the majority other than PTI and Imran Khan. If military gets on the same page with PTI, it is actually the natural order and ideal condition from where rules, regulations and policies take shape. It is a misconception that it will set precedence or haunt IK. It won't as long as PTI is a majority party.

So, military should shed the fear that if they favour any political party it would disturb the state machinery. Just follow the majority party!!!

This is exactly right. The point of having a entrenched state machinery is to work according to the needs of the ruling political party. In our setup, the only remaining non-gangrened institution is the army- they have to play their role to make sure to support the state by enforcing the policies of the ruling political party.

This is normally what a bureaucracy would do in other country setups. In our case, we don’t have the competent bureaucracy to do this- so army fills the vacuum.

Because they function as an institution and an long-term arm of the deep state. They need a functioning state to benefit long term and to have that happen, they need to make sure that short-term political governments are successful.

For the military, the political government is just a useful façade and nothing more. It will remain in their own interest to not allow any such setup become secure enough to challenge the military's supra-Constitutional powers. This system benefits Pakistan by ensuring its unity, and curses its people to remain where they are at the same time.

Since you talk no non-sense and are straight to the point, let me ask you a few things:

1. Martial law is bad, but has democracy been good for Pakistan ?since you blame democracy wasnt allowed to flourish.

2. Which democratic leader was good for Pakistan ? Nawaz ? BB ? I will discuss IK later.

3. Why aren't democratic leaders trained like military commanders in leadership ?

4. should there be an institution, a degree to train civlian democratic leaders ?

5. Why cant civil structure be effective and efficient like military ? dont blame marital law, we both know the ground reality of civil and govt departments.

6. Bajwa actually helped IK come in power and stay in power. IK should have learnt to stay in power himself, shouldn't he had ? Bajwa had to go one day and he is gone, but IK should come back, is IK's meddling in Army affairs a long term PTI strategy ? Isnt IK making Army political too even if Army has kept its word and stayed out of politics after Ik's departure from PM seat?

Well if we let them believe what they believe than it becomes their reality, their truth and than they fight for it. You know in Captain America Civil War, when Spider man meets Steve rogers, he asked Peter did stark tell you anything else ? He responds, He said you are WRONG, but you think you are RIGHT, and that makes you DANGEROUS. This is literally what happens in Pakistan, in fact everywhere.
