Imran Khan's Islamabad Rally - امربالمعروف - Updates & Discussion

What you listed are blunders of Musharraf as head of the state.. He did a lot of $hit to stay in power.. This can not exactly be attributed to the works of establishment because back then states focus was the war entering Pakistan from tribal areas and Afghanistan and they didnt want to get sucked into domestic political front. so they left it to Musharraf . The way Musharraf brought electables, defanged NAB, put up an image of enlightened moderation took on a rogue CJ were spoiling the already volatile environment and he didnt listen.. A lot of bitter pills were swallowed back then for a later review and reversion.
MQM was patronized by establishment before and after Mushy

PPP has been upto it's age old tricks with impunity a decade and a half after Mushy has left the scene

Looks like establishment is in need of "Turkey Treatment"
are we ready to lay Infront of tanks for democracy? (before Chak Bamu types come- not for sharif, zardar type of "democratic leaders"- people distributed sweets after coup cause they hated em)

Turkey main army k kuch officers na rebellion ki thi agar army coup karti to koi kuch nahi kar sakta tha

It's the same case here. Not whole army is against IK in fact quite the opposite. Only few people are rotten while ordinary army man is with IK.

I am actually quite surprised at the attacks he's making against The Establishment directly and indirectly.

Today, in his written speech he was shaming PPP for allying themselves with "Killers of Bhutto". Why has he taken such a hostile stand against what I assume by "Killers of Bhutto", he means Pakistan Army?

Is that his own thinking or someone is giving him some really awful advice and maybe even setting him up?
I assume it is because he was banking on their absolute support for his current government and also for his stint as the next PM. He is now realizing how he will have to fight the next elections on his own stature and support and may not be able to do much better than PML-Q.

He was also very outspoken against the establishment, something the PTI walas forget very conveniently. His session in India in which he speaks about how Governments in Pakistan can only be formed with the support of the establishment and his words about Generals wetting their pants at a private gathering, his tirade against Musharraf and the decision by the establishment to support the US war on terror amongst others.

things about ppp, nawaz's escape etc still stand true. it wasnt mushi, it is the collective thinking of the establishment.

the thing is, at least now he will steer clear of the sellouts, maybe that will strengthen his position in bargaining with the establishment later. remember, this is the same establishment that supported nawaz in 2013 elections, and refused to do anything against the widespread rigging (ppp killed and forced pmlf and other opposition workers, mqm forced people in karachi).

Of that increment 6 billion was promised by IMF but only $2 billion was received. The security deposits that were later recalled by Saudia and UAE are also included in the increment.

If establishment wants Imran to go how come this jalsa was hell large....he doesnt even have pasha or faize by his side at the moment.. How come PDM jalsas are flop if establishment wants them to displace Imran Khan.
You're viewing this wrong. IK has genuine support of the masses and we feel disrespected when the opposition says that establishment brought him in. My family, my extended family, my whole khandaan who were previous PPP / PML-N voters all voted for IK. The establishment just wants a yes man (Cherry Blossom) and IK doesn't want to play that role it's dead simple see why the establishment doesn't want to play ball.

If Khan gets next government, i'd actually like him to be given a mandate for deleting DHA and putting it under local municipal jurisdictions. Army needs to stop appropriating land like it's the 1100's.

If he goes out; he can only come back to power, again, with the active support and help of the Establishment. No other way.

I have been provided a new rope to cling on to by a couple of posters here. I am really hoping we are all interpreting it wrong and Bajwa and IK are just letting everyone expose themselves and will pull the trigger soon. IK said this letter was sent to someone else, I assume the army chief and he shared it with the PM. Maybe they have a strategy to counter this. Maybe they are sending the warning to the opposition. I have never seen IK read a speech from a paper and even that speech was nothing out of the ordinary so probably there is a message for everyone in this.

On a more sad note my feeling is, short of a miracle , that it's over for PMIK. To my mind it's very simple. The very order that has sunk it's roots deep into the body of Pakistan for over 35 years, corrupt to the core felt threatened. The game of music chairs that we see for decades, with one corrupt coming in, raping the country and then the next corrupt coming to take turns to rape the country has won.

The achilles heel of PMIK was always the wafer thin majority. And the old order united, just simply threw money at few MNA's who true to principles of lotacracy were bought out. Rest will just be history.

The tragedy is over the last 35 years of Sharif/Zardari order rest of South Asia has risen. India which was a rickshaw pulling starving slum in 1990 today is roaring ahead. Bangladesh which was swamp that was drowning in poverty and Bay Bengal today is a emerging economic tiger.

This is what Sharifs and Zardari/Bhuttos have given Pakistan over the last 35 years. Yet these very people will be back in power - again to loot and plunder.

Democracy is best form of revenge says Zardari. More like the spunk that comes out of his penis is fcukin punishment on Pakistan. If I thought these people were democrats the sadness might be mediated but how the fcuk is a son of a daughter of father demoracy? And it's not much differant in PML-N where the daughter now stands as the heir. Pakistan might as well declare monarchy - least that way we would have stability. Sort of you get what you paid for and not fraud dressed as democracy.

This is democracy in Pakistan and how the old order is so entrenched. Apparently a PPP MNA accused of murder ran away to Dubai and now is coming back to vote in the no confidence against PMIK. And the fcukin courts have given a mand who tortured an d murdered a poor man protective bail? Pray please tell me how is this possible in a so called Islamic Republic????

The reality is a society, a nation, a system is only reflection of the people who make it. 50 million English people will produce United Kingdom. 80 million Turks will produce Turkey. What we get in Pakistan is what 200 million of Pakistan deserve. They are the makers and enablers of this foul system.

PMIK can do all he wants by invoking "Amr bil Maruf" but he overlooks that if such rightousness existed in Pakistan culture this rotten order would have been wiped out decades ago.

We saw a few days ago how a dead body was left on the wedding hall while people dined to their hearts content. God forbid what 70 years of Islam and Islamic preachin has done to the Pakistani people.

It certainly has not made them better or nurtured "amr bil maruf" in their hearts. PMIK spent to much time abroad and got carried away with high ideals. I wish him the best. Just retire to Bani Gala and write a book on his life.

Maybe few generations down the road when Pakistan has witnessed the rise of "amr bil maruf" things might begin to change and then IK is redeamed in history.

Adios Kaptaan!

Ps. Please somebody tell me how a half witted punk like Bilawal with zero credentials other than that he dropped out of a Bhutto underpass is better option then IK or Maryam who has achieved what in life?

Agreed.

And I have a gut feeling that deep state still wishes IK well, but it could be a preventive measure to protect his life (only God can do that ofcourse) as he has become a target for arrogant international bullies.

Those scums, all those Zardaris, Sharifs and their offsprings are curse on this country and we are in for a very long period of unprecedented corruption.

Bangladesh, India have luxury that they are not in Chinese camp, we are. And as long as the multi polar world has not firmly established, we will continue being ruled by the corrupt of the corrupt.

May Almighty has mercy on us, sometimes miracles do happen!
