One thing I don't understand is that why PMLn defends corruption by NS.
In developed world, no one defends the corruption by any politician rather their own parties take action first before any court proceeding. No one defended Bill Clinton in his Monika Lewinsky case. He had to defend himself.
But in Pakistan we see that the whole party defends the corrupt leader. This means PMLn is not a political party but a cult and its followers are brain dead zombies.
Actually parties like PMLN majority I am talking about are themselves corrupt to their cores. Which is why they protect corruption and nepotism. Do you think a person like Rana Sanullah, or Abid Sher Ali, or Ishaq Dar or Khawaj Saad Rafaque or Naifa Powerderi would want someone honest to lead the party? These people are themselves the product of corruption. Even Nawaz Sharif, look at the way he came above during Zia-ul-Haq time. These people and their supporters like Diesel and AchaqZai will go to any lengths to save them. One thing I don't understand is that why PMLn defends corruption by NS.

Not only the party members rather I guess their voters are also corrupt to the core and thus they know it very well if an honest person reaches the top, they will be in deep trouble. Thus for them Zardari and PPP are acceptable but not IK.Actually parties like PMLN majority I am talking about are themselves corrupt to their cores. Yes voters are equally corrupt. For example we would not want thana culture to be changed and based on merit because then our reference would not mean squat in front of police next time we do baadmashi with somebody. It only works when you know the SHO, DSP or local MNA MPA and you ask them for favors with state institutions like Wapda, police, even government hospitals when an ordinary citizen is treated like shit. Hence those who have links references, beneficiaries of the current system would never ever want to change this. This is the reason you have person like RanaSanaullah a known land grabber as law minister. Not only the party members rather I guess their voters are also corrupt to the core and thus they know it very well if an honest person comes on top, they will be in deep trouble.
So yet bigger question is, how can it all be changed? Is democracy the answer? What can we learn from developed countries with functioning democracy.Yes voters are equally corrupt. We dont need education, what we need is to change the quality of education. A vast majority in Pakistan has simply no sense of moral values and ethics. Western democracy is a distant dream. So yet bigger question is, how can it all be changed? Is democracy the answer? What can we learn from developed countries with functioning democracy.
I think the vast majority of Pakistan people are inherently good and sweet people and it is not just based on my personal experience / interaction but also the statistics support this conclusion for example we are the most charitable people in the world and we see people love to donate money for good causes. However a minority of corrupt and powerful people kidnapped the nation right from the start... a few good people here and there but this establishment of corrupt people always got rid of them.We dont need education, what we need is to change the quality of education.
