KIA (south Korean company) also made assembly plant in Pakistan in cooperation with Luck motors corporation.

Now lets have a look at IT exports
IT exports were $939 million in fiscal year 2017.
$1.507 billion during the same period in FY 2020-21
These grew significantly and stood at 2.12Billion USD in 2021-22 and government was planning to take it upto 3.5 Billion USD in 2022-2023

So these exports are set to rise even more with more and more technology parks are built.
Only in KPK

Pakistan produced surplus wheat but it failed to export surplus wheat this is where PTI should focus.

Potato also went surplus

Record textile exports

All in short,
IK's economy policy is export and manufacturing based. If Pakistanis will give him some more time, our exports will rise and if trend continued with Automobile, Smartphones, textile, Chemical, weapons, pharmaceutical industry,we will become export based economy instead of consumption based economy.

. .
Why manufacture anything locally when you can import everything through free dallars borrowed from IMF???

. .
What IK did for industries in his tenure, these corrupt goons could not do in decades.

This is the main reason why I support Imran Khan, all those who don't advocate for mass industrialization in Pakistan are traitors.

Lanat on Bajwa for trying to undo all the hard work. Honetly, our country was heading in the right direction, but that coward general was shaking in his boots after the American threat and gave in.

.
Indeed.

These milestones deserve more publicity in Pakistan's MSM.

PDM politicians routinely complain about PTI-led GOP damaging Pakistan's economy. Hardly any anchor reminds them about Pakistan's industrial growth under PTI-led GOP.

Another thing that PDM politicians seem to forget is that PPP and PML(N) did not face COVID-19 pandemic in their respective terms.

Generally speaking - Pakistani politicians have a really bad habit of completely discrediting each other in their talks. This mindset should be addressed. Criticism should be on fair grounds.

.
Manufacturing is/was the next logical step in the Belt-And-Road initiative of CPEC where China could outsource some of its manufacturing to Pakistan for lower cost than it could do for itself by having integrated transport lines, what was offering economic growth for Pakistan.

This is how valuable the relationship Pakistan has with China compared to IMF loans that the Americans are offering ( which is just more political bondage )..

Of course - all this has now been thrown over the side by the "neutrals" and the imported goverment ..

Numerous American companies have created jobs in Pakistan as well. These can be categorized on following lines:

- Fast Food Chains
- Textiles
- Services

Americans also provide business opportunities to Pakistani entrepreneurs on their platforms. USA is the largest destination for Pakistani goods (EXPORTS) which is an achievement of Pakistani business community.

Pakistan's MSM is too focused on political infighting to give true picture of Pakistan's economic activity and explain how people work hard to make ends meet.

Pakistani politicians have politicized IMF in Pakistani discourses to divert attention from their own incompetence and corruption.

.
PMLN economic policy was just opposite to it, start mega show off, extravagant projects like orange line Metro, IPPs on imported fuel, power plants at extra costs and on imported coal.

Get loans from IMF, and others pegged against IMF loans, and get huge commission and kickbacks on the mega projects, with no sustainable growth.

And the interest incurred on loans after 20,15 years will be paid by the new government.

This was their modus operandi to get the development optics.

.
Probably that's one of the reasons he was given the boot.

For me, it's pretty sad. I liked the guy and saw potential in him...but it all went wrong as it always does in Pakistan.
