I met Imran many years ago and had two sentences with him and then some Indian politicians. But I did see his behavior in that event. He came across very cocky and self centered. This isn't a bad thing but that's how he was, a famous player.
Now, I've been watching this guy and his speeches for a while now. He speaks Excellent English. But he can't speak Politics that great in the same English he's very fluent in. The point that I am trying to make is that Politics, Leadership and Speeches are ALL different skill sets. He may be a great guy and all. But is he the right leader?

You know, there is bitter reality in this post and no one wants to feel bitter taste in the back of their mouth. But here, YOU guys as Pakistanis need to figure out your country's priorities......what do you want your country to be and where do you want it to be in the next 10 years? and how should it be perceived in the World......?

If the answer is Economic growth, Financial stability, Educational and overall an entire system or society being re-born (if you will), and Pakistan's expansion as a moderate, democratic state, the current government is your best bet.As these guys are business minded people and know how to expand the economy, businesses, setup a moderate system and put out a good image of Pakistan to the rest of the world.

If you want your fragile society to get worse or economic growth to stall or the power issue never get fixed, you should elect others. Please know that I am as unbiased towards your political system as any American may be. But I am talking reality here. Imran needs probably 5-10 more years to get to the level (political maturity and standing on the world stage).
That democratic, political maturity matters a LOT. People invest more on the trust they build with the individual giving them the sales pitch with good track record then someone brand new!! So yea, just make the calls that are right for 200 million people. Its time these common people finally get a better lifestyle as that's the most basic human right.

i see alot of people saying that Imran is not a Good politian .. thank God he is not ...
if we wanted politian we would have supported zardari, molana, nawaz sharif .. they know poltics .. they ruled for about 4 - 6 term each .. and brought Pakistan to this stage .. we dnt need this kind of politian .. we need an honest man .. imran khan is nothng but honest

Perfect Post, But problem is priority. Most of the Pakistani are totally selfish, and self centered. Which is the reason, priority changes from person to person. And worst thing is, based on what you follow, we don't accept single argument from the other-side, since our personal priorities, or followings are the only thing we see around. Almost every person in the forum agree every politicians (or other politician which i don't follow) are corrupt/power hunger. Yet, we Pakistanis want to kill other side based on our own priorities.

Unite, Faith, Discipline were the motives given us by our founder, yet these things are complete ignored due to person priority of each Pakistani. Priority should be based on Nationalism not personalities.

Nawaz, Zaradari, Althaf, TuQ, Imran etc, all want just power/money.

And you just negated your own advice/logic of rising above personalities by neglecting to mention Nawaz sharif. You can do better

Sure....but that's just politics......and its the same everywhere. What you as a voter has to do, is to vote for the one who you think will align with the national agenda more than others. You'll never find politicians who are 100% in for the country or for the people. Take a look around, France, India, UK, US, etc, etc. Same thing. But what you have to know is your vote should go to the party or individual who's agenda will get stuff done for the country and for a better life for ordinary citizens.......no offense but the current government is actually doing a LOT of work. In many areas, more than what's been done in the past 7 decades (power, water storage, economic revival, etc)
Your X rulers or Imran won't get you a quarter of this performance. The X gov't was just thieves and corrupted and Imran isn't mature and doesn't have a standing on the World Stage yet. It'll be like 10 more years before he gets there. So why bring him in and take a huge chance? He's in the right place and in my mind, he should be learning. May be in the next few years, he'll be ready for the role.

Agree this is Politics, but politics boundaries need to be defined quickly, for that Pakistan's Priority need to be defined. I don't know how, may be unbiased media like just recently happen in India.

And where is "National Agenda"? What common people consider "National Agenda"? People vote for fancy stuff like "Rotti Kapra Makan", "Change" , "Motorway", "Laptops" or "Ethical Cards". People here accept rumors as fact, and spread it. And start believing themselves. Politicians take advantage of the weakness of the people, this gap of "national direction" among the community.

Agree, After all I am Pakistani like you, what else to be expected? "Doosron ko Pachass nasihatien kar saktay hain, par khud follow eik bhi nahin" But, I did mention, and Nawaz is the first one i mentioned.
