One killed, six injured in violence across city
KARACHI: A man was killed and six others including three women were injured in different violence incidents in metropolis on Thursday.
Four-day-old body of a man bearing torture marks was recovered from Mawach Goth graveyard. It was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
Dilshad (40) wife of Sajjad and her daughter Kainat (18) were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on them near Shahi Muhalla in Machhar Colony. They were rushed to CHK for treatment.
Elian (30) and three children Sumera (6) daughter of Murad, Eman (3) daughter of Murad and Yasmeen (5) daughter of Rahim Baksh were injured by unidentified armed men in Kallari, Lyari. The injured were shifted to CHK for treatment.
Meanwhile, at least two target killers have been nabbed while one killed by police during an encounter. As per details police raided area of Jahangirabad and apprehended Asif aka Bangash and Athar Hussain who were wanted in target killing of nearly ten people. Police have also confiscated huge cache of weapons from their possession.
Meanwhile security forces in Gulistan-e-Johar while looting the people killed one dacoit. According to police West the body was shifted to hospital for post-mortem.
Remand:
On the other hand, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended physical remand of two accused Ubaid alias K2 and Nadir Shah, to police custody till April 13, 2015 in two cops murder case.
According to the prosecution, Sub-Inspector Mohammad Rehan and Sub-Inspector Mohammad Nisar were killed on March 23, 2000 when unknown armed men attacked them near Soldier Bazaar.
Ubaid K2 and Nadir Shah were among suspects arrested by Rangers from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero on March 11, 2015.
In another case, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended remand of accused Abdul Qadir to police custody till April 19, 2015 in a cop murder case.
According to the prosecution, accused was involved in a murder of constable Chaman near Agra Taj Colony. Abdul Qadir was among suspects arrested by Rangers from MQM headquarter Nine-Zero on March 11, 2015.
Meanwhile, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday awarded 14-year imprisonment to four accused in explosive material case.
ATC judge found Syed Rehman, Sher Baz, Fazal and Khan Wali guilty of possessing explosives material in 2014.
ATC judge pronounced verdict after recording the statements of witnesses, evidences and hearing arguments from both sides.
According to prosecution, police arrested accused on March 4, 2014 and recovered explosives material from their possession, which included hand grenades.

As I said things will not improve until we cut off the head of the snake. According to one of my kidnapped relatives PPP also has terror mafias out in karachi and played a key role in kidnapping him and releasing him for a paid ransom. MQM of course does the same thing but I found it necessary to highlight this as it is constantly blamed as the only party that uses violence, something that just isn't true.
Any way until we bring Altaf and Zardari to Pakistani courts for their crimes against their citizens I don't think the situation in Karachi will improve. All that will happen when one target killer is caught another one will replace him.
