LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that surgical strikes on Taliban are acceptable unless it is killing terrorists.

Talking to media, he said that Taliban should announce ceasefire to save the dialogue process and their leaders should come ahead with a clear stance over the issue.

PTI chief advised government to strike only those Taliban who are killing innocent women and children and take due care that no civilian casualties occur during the process.

He pointed out that Mohmand Agency Taliban who killed 23 Frontier Corps should be taken to task while those willing to talk shall be brought to table.

PTI chairman said that if he were in place of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he would have initiated the talks himself.

Leader of the third largest party in Pakistan's National Assembly, Imran Khan a atrong supporter of peace dialogue and has opposed military operation in the past.

Imran Khan never opposed military operation but he wanted to give peace a chance first before any military operation which is always final option and God Forbids if it fails, then you will go to dialogue but in weaker position.
